If he does, tis the risk we take fella! Still gaining by getting extra points from the weeks he hasn't already and potentially will still miss

Do we think McCullough returns to big scores as an 80 minute hooker?

Yes and when fully over that elbow injury, I reckon that's effecting him

Is Ryan James worth a gamble? I’m looking for a POD who potentially plays Round 17 and is keeper material. Or should I just scoop up someone like Big Papa or Brown now?

James might pip both in terms of total score because he plays 17

I really like Papa and his move to the middle with DPP but Brown probably the best option for points potential

He’s back to career best form. And I can only see the Raiders improving with Hodgson back. Hmmm.

Since he was dropped and re-inserted into stating lineup he has averaged 56 and playing in the middle with Whitehead/Solly/Tapine on the edges

His DPP is making me consider dumping Surgess for him after R17

Like you said before, Brown is probably the immediate best purchase and Papa can wait for Round 18. The Raiders have a really tough run to the end of the season but I can only see that benefiting Papa.

He is a lot cheaper than say McInnes. McCullough averages almost 60 as 80 minute hooker, let's say 59 over 10 games is 590 points. McInnes plays an extra game and would need to average 53.6 to achieve the same which is precisely his average. So I get the same points for 137k cheaper if my assumptions are true. Tempting. I want to improve my team now though and don't necessarily want to wait for evidence he's over an injury as he has been playing so finger crossed he's okay. Thoughts?

He scored a 29 and 40 before his 104. If its career best form its not translating much into the fantasy world (other than the last round).

As he was almost picked for the origin he might keep the output for few more rounds but definitely not in the final 17 in my opinion.

Edit- Ignore that I was talking about James and you are talking about Papa Smile

Macca only has an average of 55 when playing 80 minute games this season mate

His average before the injury was 59

    Have gone

JFH - Cheap Manly hooker/some other nuffie
    Surgess - Harris
    JMK - Big Papa

So many potential bargains in the 2rf if you make the right choice from the likes of Harris, Papa, Gal, Brown.

Harris the best value of the lot I think, especially with SJ back and once Hiku is outside him again he's going to have more tackling to do and more LBA opportunities.

You’re right. And they are all pretty low on ownership!

Yeah mate I didn't actually check because I'd already calculated it in the preseason he has an average of almost 60 over two or three seasons or more when playing 80 at hooker and as you say it was 59 before the injury. And he's been playing football for a while since the injury so you'd have to assume it's coming good?

Tough to know, His elbow is involved in a lot of tackles and he is a scything machine!

9 tackles a game less than before the injury, but more of that could be put down to gameflow etc

I'd back him to outscore his current price of 48 though very comfortably

The other issue is if I got him over say RFM I'd have three hookers on the bench and only one guy covering FRF/2RF in my final team.

Re: Macca. I honestly see the broncos winning only 2-4 more games this season unless a massive change comes within the team. Look at their schedule and you honestly struggle to see where they get enough points to make the eight. I don’t know if this benefits Macca or not. I can see Bennett looking for speed around the ruck. Could that see a spell from Macca? Where does Bird fit into the mix? Interesting times ahead.

If Martin isnt in the 17, Holland is on the bench for the first 65 mins and Mbye is playing for the Tigers, then who kicks goals for the Bulldogs?
