S.Burgess - I heard there are reports there is so backlash and a bit of follow on through the team sheds about the whole split.

Ash Taylor has shed 6 kilos this off season in a bit to reach peak fitness and get into the maroons squad. He is priced around that 35 mark. Could be worth a punt this year with someone like Peachey, Jacks or Roberts beside him.

@ MTB - really like your 2019 team planner. I notice after looking at the Knights player prices that Kurt Mann is HOK/HLF 379,000 but on your player he's HLF/WFB 327,000. I know you pulled the prices & positions from the test site so it was obviously wrong. Cheers.

Sorry to be a bother but has anyone got stats on Burgess playing 80 on the edge from last year and the year before? I don't have excel unfortunately.

Not sure about last year but the year before it was one start for 26 points in 80 minutes. I don't remember if he played edge last year.

Surgess is a fantasy has been although he's awesome in real life. Even at lock last year he only averaged 44.9 pts/game which is pretty bad for a player like Surgess. Also he is going through marital problems. I would expect him to average less on the edge. His error rate in 2018 was huge as well with missed tackles & handling problems littering his game. I think he's a wait & see.

Surgess is thinking more about selling property, sorting out visitation when his schedule is so varied and halving assets this year. I'm staying away.

TPJ I was never on. If he doesn't make cash early then why have him. He will be busted come the end of the year and bleed cash,he's young for a prop. So unless you think he's a stepping stone to a cow, give him a miss

Surgess seems to be priced about right. Dont think hes consistent enough anymore to be classed as a keeper. Will pump out a good score here and there but have some low scores too

If Radley goes to starting lock, does Friend play 80 minutes again?

Is everyone else finding it really easy to construct a kick ass team this year? I'm running numbers and thinking 850 is a realistic points target first round with lots of low-mid range cows throughout the team.

Lots of retirements and player movement in the off-season provide lots of great options.

^ any wonder I can't play this game.
While taking notes about possible undervalued players I'm not even going to consider constructing a team before the first round of trails to get an idea of what players are being looked at.
I'll have a possible team in place come the first TLT but it's not until then that we really know the guaranteed cashcows.

Speaking of guaranteed cash cows, who are going to be the omni-present cheapies (<$300k)

Parra half and Warriors half I assumes will be popular.

Zac Lomax is getting a few hype articles, so no doubt he'll be a flop

Wayde Egan and Jack Bird are both sub $300k, and if they start will be good bets

Payne Haas and Lindsay Collins are my bets for the Kane Evans PPM King crown this season, tempting everyone with their promise of only scoring 20 points a game, but doing it very quickly.

Tautau Moga is dirt cheap, but with Ramien at the Sharks now I'm not sure he'll get a spot.

I get the feeling Corey Allen will be a no go to start the year, might be a mid-season option
Bryce Cartwright will no doubt tempt a few if he gets his name in the 17

Brad Abbey's high score last year was 23 from his 9 games, but the fact he used to kill it in U20s will seem him pop up everywhere

Bevan French and Jamie Buhrer might sucker a few people in with their price, but don't think either will be worth it.
