Re: NRLFF community managed fantasy team
Morgan has a BE of 39 and has one score under 40 all season. I see no reason to sell him until immediately pre-origin.

Re: NRLFF community managed fantasy team
Solid write update there Ranta, and enjoyed reading all the comments after as well
I thing Rava out for Lomax looks solid, he has DPP, Goal kicks and bottom priced with a low BE and reckon he will average 30-35pts @ CTR.
End of the day he cashes out Rava and could be a slow burner
Herbert/Flanagan/Dearden all solid options too so could add them to the vote to give us some options.
______________________________________________________________
Morgan to Reynolds looks good on paper but then I have some doubts about if this is the best use of funds now.
Morgan is averaging 46pts (44pts past 3) in a poor Cowboys team and has consistently scored this for the past 3 weeks, but capable of a big score like round 1.
Reynolds by coincidence has been doing not much more in a Rabbitohs team firing on all cylinders and averaged 48 the past 3 weeks
Reynolds score was massively inflated against the titans and outside that he hasn't scored much more than Morgan. Yes he plays round 12 but there are alot of games between then.
So for 200k we don't really get much of an upgrade points, his BE is 59 and we are paying for a round 12 player when we have both CHT and Cartwright scoring as well who will end up benched and that seems a waste.
For people selling DCE then yes it makes sense for them to grab now, but for this team I think we should wait and see, last thing is for him to pick up an injury and alot of the reason we grabbed him for is gone.
I think he may be a better target later on in a few weeks as a trade out from CHT/Carty instead.
Who knows what happens with CHT and then there is Carty haha
So I reckon just the 1 trade (Rava to Lomax) bank the 350k and see what this week bringsand go from there
Could be worthwhile doing a vote on who we play with Garner vs Carty for the 2rf spot, unless we get news on Garner starting prior to 5pm Friday

Re: NRLFF community managed fantasy team
With a bit of time to ponder this - whats the chance of committing to some kind of plan leading up to round 12?
I posted in the other trade thread - but I have a fear that in the absence of a strategy the voting system lends itself to the flavour of the week player, which could mean we neglect our scoring 17 a bit - i.e. dont trade in enough guns.
I know this is what we signed up for, so ultimately Im good with whatever, but if we want to get Farah, Tolo, and perhaps 1 or 2 od Arey/Martin/Kikau etc for round 12 we really need to start committing to getting them in from next week (if not this week).
This may not be workable - but Im proposing a short term (lead up to round 12) strategy vote. Basically list the 'guns' we could trade in and a vote which asks how many do you want to get in prior to 12? This of course would rely on voters being informed which could be an issue. We'd have to provide a bit of info detailing what X number of guns traded in means in terms of who we'd have to trade out....
What do you guys think - too much hassle?
Something like:
Here are the 'guns' that have been proposed over the last couple weeks: Tolo, Farah, Martin, ARey, Kikau, RTS, Cook, Smith, Cleary etc
How many should we realistically be targeting prior to 12. and who would they be?
1 gun - easily done
2 guns - at least 2 additional trades (maybe 3) after this week out of (Lawrie, Morgan, CHT, Burr)
3 guns - at least 3 additional trades (perhaps 4) after this week out of (Lawrie, Morgan, CHT, Burr, Arrow, Murray)
4 guns - at least 4 additional trades (perhaps 5) after this week out of (Lawrie, Morgan, CHT, Burr, Arrow, Murray)
5 guns - at least 5 additional trades (probably 6) after this week out of (Lawrie, Morgan, CHT, Burr, Arrow, Murray, Xerri)
Then a vote for the actual guns themselves...
Tolo x%
Farah x%
Are x%
etc
Wouldn't hurt at least I reckon....

I'm with Boozy. Tolo back could have a positive impact on Morgan as well, get a cow for Rava and bank a trade.

Re: NRLFF community managed fantasy team
Pre rd 8 here is our team:
Trades were
Garner and Rava out for Smith and Lomax (79k remaining)
Do we still want Captain Fifi (upvote) or would you change to Smith (downvote)
Also tell me who misses out on the bench out of Carty, Burr and Lawrie? Currently I'd have Carty out as his ceiling doesn't justify his floor for mine.

Personally see more upside in Dearden over Lomax, but team is flying and won't lose much either way

I don't mind Carty instead of Lawrie. Been fairly consistent and takes out the chance of Mary fucking around with his rotations.

Burr's score could be anything this week without Tevaga on the bench.

Re: NRLFF community managed fantasy team
CS9 (c) it is over Fifi.
Got 3 - 2 on the votes.
As for bench / starting composition I think its pretty obvious that Xerri, Sivo and Lomax are in our EMG. Maybe instead of discussing all the different ways we can arrange our team its best to ask who you'd leave out.
For me it's out of Carty, Lawrie, Burr and CHT. I'll put a poll up for that and we have 24 hours prior to the titans game to decide. Before I do is there anyone else you'd consider dropping?

Re: NRLFF community managed fantasy team
@Cap'n Ranta, RnT has already set up a poll for who to pick/leave out.
Looks like it will be Lawrie or Cartwright on the pine

@Milchy @Cap'n Ranta,
are we gonna roll with Garner out still given the news that Garner likely starts and Arrow now possibly out?
Not gonna be able to reverse that trade cause Smith locked in as C.

Arrow's out?
And is there confirmation Garner will start. I assume it's likely if Benji isn't fit, but is it official either way

Re: NRLFF community managed fantasy team
I think we are locked in with Garner to Smith due to Smith having the captaincy.
Worst case the debate about who is left on the bench becomes redundant and we play all of them. Will leave RnTs poll then and we can go from there.

Possibility of both according to SuperCoach live show Im led to believe, hence me post. I didnt say he was out...
Too late in the piece to do anything about it I guess given how this team works, but I probably would have done a late captain switch and taken the opportunity to be able to reverse trades should Arrow be out and Garner starting. (the later seems a good shout to be honest). My gut says Arrow might start to be a liability soon with Origin and his constant niggling apparent injuries...

Re: NRLFF community managed fantasy team
Without having looked at BEs yet and assuming the Warriors ditch CHT, are we looking at ARey this week? Could be looking at ta double shift in the halves if thats the case huh? As Morgan looks (on the face of it at least) to be the closes person to peaking out of all our tradable guys...
Dearden ? Flannagan ? Elgey ?
By the looks we could go:
CHT and Morgan to Arey and any one of Dearden/Flannagan/Elgey
Alternatively we could look at playing Carty in the halves
Any other player jumping out at us this week?

Main thing is to wait for an update on Bateman. 3 weeks and we can hold. If it starts getting longer we have to think about trading.

Yep - for my team, if Batman isn't playing r12 (and news is firm this week) then I'm trading him
