well done so far Welshy. what about Watson? gives you a R16 scorer and solves the biggest gap in your team ie the third WFB.

Cheers mate, looked at Watson and don't want to break him for my fantasy team lol Very Happy

Main issue is job when Levi returns and a fairly big outlay on someone who could return to 35s when moved back into halves or worse case bench, although unlikely! Would prefer either getting Turbo/Ponga after R16 or moving Munster there and a better half

reckon we have a chance at overturning the guy in first, roughly 200 points ahead? You attacking R16?

I have 9 so far if Haas and Matterson misses Origin 3. Looking to bring in 4/5 more round 16 players. 200 is very catchable. Was over 400 behind before the 1st bye. Definitely be getting as many as can for round 16 and yep both a good chance atm.

I'm attacking R16, major chance to get a 100 point jump if others don't then the 100 points will all be down to captain choices for the run in as most teams similar

I think I've got enough trades to go JFH/Murray/Taupau into sideways R16 players like SST/KBrom/Milf and still be okay for coverage

CNK be going this week and either Havili/Kahu. Kahu is a problem that should of been gone from my side after round 12 and so cheap but and lost so much cash lately I wasn't expecting him to play last weekend so he has dropped so much I not sure what to do with him now. Don't want him to be an AE nightmare especially having lost the goal kicking duties now. D Walker, L Martin, A Reynolds, To'o are other cash out options for me round 16. Taupau I will be holding for the year most likely. Still doing well with 56 average even though Dessie keeps playing him just under 50 minutes a game.

So 2 trades round 15. 4 trades round 16. That's 6 more players people could bring in.

2 this round I will do. Doubt I will use the whole 4 trades round 16. Thinking 2/3. But I will worry about that then when round 16 comes along.

Fancy lending a hand mate? Where would you head for R16?

    Cook, Smith
    Haas, Fifita, Twal, JFH
Taumalolo, Taupau, Matterson, Murray, JTurbo, Young
    Munster, Cleary, Brimson, Hutchinson
    Nikora, Bateman, Fergo, DWalker
    RTS, Tedesco, CNK, Sivo, Allan

My first thoughts are JFH - SST and Young - Carrigan this week

Hey man, I agree that you should go hard for round 16. So with that in mind, just looking very briefly, the outs would have to be 6 of:

JFH, Young, CNK, Allan, Sivo, Fergo, & DWalker (perhpas even Brimson although he's a good hold for the season with DPP. I personally wouldnt be losing Taupau mate.

Without knowing your balance and trades I can really say who I'd bring in, but it would be a mix of cash outs and potential guns. SST would be one on the list, Milf a good option too. Im not sold on KBrom but if you take Taupau off the table then perhaps you cant afford him anyway.

And then as I look at your team post 16, I guess you need to find room for JTrbo (edit - sorry just saw you have him), TTrbo, and Ponga. I would move heaven and earth to get all three to be honest. Ponga will be really important as DPP to swap with Brimson to cover injuries for the run home.

    Hope that helps mate.

As for Watson, I think its 1 (perhaps 2) rounds too late for him to be honest. He's almost priced at the elite WFB level now so the only way you'd grab him is if you had the trades to trade him straight out after 16 (for TTrbo/Ponga/Teddy/RTS - which ever you dont have) OR you really believe he will hod the 9 spot all year.

Great pick up if you got him already though!!

100% mate. I'll go as far as to say the player in 1st WONT be the one who wins this.

I'm not convinced they know what they are doing in terms of strategy. Im pretty sure they hit something like 670 in round 12 which was no-where near enough considering they only have 6 ready for 16 at this stage. I also really question why they purchased Radley last week. Thats neither a keeper nor a cash out. Seems like the sort of player that actually hurts your team long term...

I think the guy to watch is the guy in 2nd!

That said, I think anyone in the top 7 has a great shot right now with a bit of luck and good strategy!

I've posted this before, but last year the guy who won it had a 300 point lead going into the last round and only won by a captains choice (30 points or so. Anything can happen.

    GL!

I'd look at getting CNK out this week.

He isn't a keeper, and price is only going down short term. Main problem is that there are no attractive cheapies to bring him for him, especially ones that will play R16. Jai Field pretty much the only real possibility. Anything to let you get TTrbo in (which may be more important for timing than Taukeiaho, even if he doesn't play 16)

Oh well with Fifita gone for round 16 making 1 less number for that round. No big drama. Everyone has him right?

Yeah, its not a big deal in terms of 16, cause as you say, everyone will have him. Im tracking the top 7 teams at the moment and they all have him.

Its a bit more interesting for round 15 though. As it stands, from what I can see the top teams will be forced into playing guys like Ma'u, RTS, Watson, Jackson, Brimson as their 17th man. It will differentiate the top teams who for the most part have very similar sides.

Strategy will be huge over the next 3 to 4 rounds IMO. As will luck in the performance of round 16 cash outs. If you can jag a few 50 point players like Cust, To'o, Martin etc from round 12 significant ground can be made up on the top couple of teams!

am thinking Hamlin-Uele might be a decent shout if you’ve got enough trades to bring him in and then out again.

Thanks for the direction guys! Currently getting TTurbo in for CNK and targetting Fusi/Isaako as the cashout for R16 scorer

Luckily I can cover Fifita with JFH so no great shakes there for me hopefully he plays lock for 15 and 16 to boost his score

Have you thought about CNK to MANU, then MANU to TTURBO after Origin 3 ?
With a B/E of -44, he won't lose any money and will play fullback in round 16 ( hope he can replicate last weeks effort ).

Not thought about Manu mate, probably a tad too expensive to waste a trade getting him in for 2 rounds and back out for Turbo

11 left and looking at going something like this over next 2 rounds. CNK - Turbo to avoid losing too much cash in R15 with the predicted CNK drop and Turbo rise.

    DWalker - Fusi +R16 + $120,000
    Sivo - Isaako +R16 +$240,000
    CNK - Turbo - $186,000
    Young - R16 cashout
    JFH - SST for R16

    Then Ponga in after R16

I'm getting smashed here. Been conserving trades last couple of weeks, but that has been a big mistake, as now I have too many people not playing and can't deal with all of them at once.

Klemmer, Arrow, Surgess,  Cleary, Arrow, Fifita, Young all out, with Havili unplayable.

Fifita and Cleary out - TTrbo and Twal in.

Eliminator going to be a very tough ask.

Is it worth cashing out to someone like Host/Britt or should I just kill the spot completely with someone who will hopefully only play R16?

Without knowing your full team I'd be inclinded to kill the spot of the extra cash to use elsewhere.
I'm struggling with Cleary, Fifi and Harris out this week. Eliminator not looking promising.
