the article's a pointless, all they've done is taken the two highest percentage goal-kickers from each team and chucked them up, no thought as to whether said players will even make the team, let alone goal-kick.

Sorry I just have to put one of my favourite commentating moments on here. "Feeney on to Meaney.. but no sign of Mo"

I am having trouble getting too enthusiastic about any of the Bulldog players, I know jack shit but they seem awkwardly priced and too much of the unknown, Hoppa maybe - just my 2 cents worth.

Canterbury - CHN mighty tempting if he starts at $450k, but still don't know if he plays out full game with Jackson/RFM/Elliott/Martin. Only guy guaranteed 80 in the Bulldogs pack is Jackson, who might be worth considering as a POD come to think of it.

After looking up Meaney on the old google search -Knights Player-of-the-Year in the NYC and NSW Cup over the past two seasons. Meaney made his NRL debut in round 18 of the 2018 season against the Parramatta Eels and finished the year with five appearances. He also crossed the try-line twice, came up with 16 tackle breaks, 2 try assists and is a handy goal-kicker as well.

Now, the kicker to those respectable stats is that he averaged 85.7 running metres over those 5 appearances and that even though he can kick goals, he'd be behind Holland and Martin if they make the squad.

Didn't CHN score of a lot of tries last year too even starting from the bench?

I’ve had a look at CHN. Pretty average scoring without tries.

Dogs have too many backrowers to consider starting one of them in my team. Tolman or Napa for me if I were to pick one.

Haven't seen enough of Meaney tbh but he didn't exactly grab his chance when he played games for Newcastle.

There's just so much more value elsewhere in the 2nd row this year that taking a chance on the uncertain Bulldogs pack would be bold. So if you're keen on a punt and love a dart thrown in the dark my pick is RFM baby

Had a look at some Brodie Croft stats and now he’s on my shortlist. Started with him last year and it was torture. He was great fantasy wise when he returned. If I can look past his start last year and think about his scores at the end of last year and 2017 he just may find his way into my side. Priced at 37.4, could well be similar value to Gillett.

Only if he gets the FB gig is he a good option imo. French will play the first 40 minutes of their first trial apparently and who knows plays there the second 40, probably Gutho.

Massive wraps on Xerri by John Morris. Doesn't sound like the kid will grab a centre spot but he's definitely in the mix for a wing spot.
