Just a reminder that people read this site at work, and to keep potentially dodgy images away from the fantasy thread. (rules are relaxed a little for page 51 parties)

I have hidden your pictures behind NSFW tags.

That said, is there a way to customise by user settings to hide the avatars - looks less web surfy from work?

Really? I thought it was owning someone that everyone had.

    Anywho.

CNK signed for raiders. Chance of a starting spot covering for rapana?

    Agree.

Another weirdly priced player thanks to the good work by Fanhub and Lone Scout ( or whoever the NRL Fantasy price forecasters are).

Averaged 30.1 in 2017, that should equate to about 441K

Didn't play in 2018 therefore should get a full 30% discount bringing his price to about 309K

Well done pricing experts, somewhere in the middle should do fine.

Anyway, unlike those running this game, I better get off my arse and go do something constructive, adios.

Who are the CCs at FRF bluetige? I think thats the hardest spot to find them (in the short time I've been playing fantasy) because you dont typically get rookie FRF thrust into decent enough minutes.... They normally come on over a season or two, and hence so does their price, 2RF with DPP the exception (was Kikau DPP last year?).

This year the best of the FRF CCs I can see is Hass and even with him there is little consensus as to whether he will get the minutes to be worth it. And the only reason we get him at his price is due to injury. He'd probably be 100k more expensive minimum if he'd played the season.

For me the obvious ccs this year are in the halves, cs, and wfbs. The rest I'll be plugging with value. As a result Burr will be straight in my team if he gets the start, despite the genuine risks you've pointed out.

One of the main reasons I'll pick him is because he will be in my 17 too, leaving cash to upgrade other starting spots.

It’s gotta be discussed. Jesse Bromwich.
    2014: 50 avg, 56 mins
    2015: 53 avg, 64 mins
    2016: 51 avg, 59 mins
    2017: 37 avg, 50 mins
    2018: 36.6 avg, 46.9 mins

    Is he done?

Welch, NAS, Vete/Kasiano in the rotation. Smith Jnr may go to lock and Finucane to play some prop as well. Could be set for a return to some decent minutes.

Slater revolutionized the way fullbacks play the game. Fullbacks were purely a support players not really doing much more than chiming in on back line plays. Now they must be dominant play makers able to make decisions and generate overlaps. His defensive game is also second to none. Prime Slater would cover ground at the back like no one else. Seeing Slater get to kick after kick on the full would deflate the opposition play makers and put the Storm on the front foot. All that without even mentioning his communication skills on the field in organizing the defense. One of the all time greats and has a real case for best fullback of all time.
Hard to argue with any of that so I'll concede my argument with regards to Billy.

I get your point, but right at this moment I think its too bigger gamble and he is a wait and see even though he will cost more. This year there is too much cash to make in the 2RF position anyway to need a cashie in that position. The reason why I won't be picking a keeper in that position to start the season. FRF is where I feel the cashie is needed more. But hey, different thoughts lead to having different teams
I couldn't knock back any middle forward at that price who looks like they'll get decent minutes. They just don't pop up often enough to pick and choose.

A team of 12 reverse pods with 5 pods will surely be better over the length of season than a team of 12 pods and 5 reverse pods.

Also, can someone fill me in on nofo? Off field dramas last year?? Likely to be resolved?? Back to his best maybe?

Cleary wasn't happy with some aspects of Nofo's game (mostly defence I think) so he started in reserve grade, but forced his way back into the team. Don't know Maguire's feelings on him but I would assume he'll be one winger. Chompson/Fonua likely the other (maybe Robert Jennings who we are rumoured to be signing)

Nofo can certainly bust a tackle, but no reason to think he was specifically undervalued. Did better under Jason Taylor who used him for 4th tackle hitups a lot where he got a bunch of his stats.

In terms of team naming is Radley the main point of interest here?

Teams talking in pre-season about how they will change their style for the new year is always to be taken with a grain of salt.

That said, Lachlan Lewis, says this about how the Dogs want to play in 2019:

“It’s a high-tempo, not premeditated game plan. It’s eyes up, running flat, running fast,” Lewis said.

That sounds good for the likes of CHN Beating Heart

    On Teddy v TTurbo -

One plays for the reigning premiers who have an even better squad this season, the other plays for Des Hasler.

    Teddy for me.

I'm really tempted just to start with both and sacrifice my bench strength. Needs some luck that the rookies will knock out some ok scores to balance things out.
