The reports are that hes been training as the starting 9. It sounds like Katoa will be on the bench though, so guessing the split of mins will be tricky.

Think Katoa is currently injured but will be back for Rnd1 so no certainty to Egan starting at all.

Read an article about Fifita pushing for Origin this year. He's not your typical teenager but yeah there are a lot of backrowers aren't there. He'll be 19 by the time the season starts so it wouldn't be completely out of the question for IMO there most promising player to get fast-tracked a little

I can't remember but it would be interesting to know if he played the whole 80 minutes in any of his 11 games from last season.

    Any love for Aaron Gray?

He carved it up for the bunnies a couple seasons back, he might nab a starting spot at centre on the wing come round 1.

It wouldnt surprise me if Fifita got a starting edge spot, at all. It just won't be per that team list at the members day. Glenn was quoted on the broncos site as figting for his starting position, and he mentioned dave fifita in the same sentence. Sua was also quoted on the broncos site recently, and while he said nothing specific, it seemed as though he was not assured of making the 17 for round 1.

Gillett right edge is a certainty, the left edge is up for grabs .

rd 25, started four games with 45, 44, 80 and 58 mins so he's capable. Last regular season game he played 80 but he could very well be restricted to less than 60 like you say based on those numbers

I love Alex Glenn and he's always been criminally underrated but surely he plays ressies for most of the year, if not all of it. Macca and Gillett have plenty of experience, TPJ and Ofahengaue have a few seasons under their belt now too and Su'A and Fifita are far too talented to leave out.

Haha love the comment about wasting all the milk Laughing Eels or Manly should pick him up. Eels need a genuine hooker and Manly could do better with Koro at 6

Yuck, 9 is Koro's best position by far, he's not a half. That would seriously piss me off actually, even if Fainu went to 9

Your not wrong there mate. Koro is a better 9 then a 6, but i dont rate elgey at all and think a koro is a better 6 then elgey

Wasn't long ago that Manly were going to swap Cherry for Elgey, he was the 2014 NYC Player of the Year. He has so much potential and I think Manly's attacking structures will put a lot less pressure on him as a 5/8, not to mention the experience of Cherry Evans. Koroisau has no playmaker instincts whatsoever, he's an amazing tackler and an expert at weaving through defenders in the middle but his abilities don't suit 5/8 at all.

Yeah, would get a look in my team I think. Can recall him getting 4 tries in a town / country game https://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-05-09/grays-starring-role-for-city-completes-unlikely-comeback/7395540. Can find the try line.

    Averages:
    2015 - 28
    2016 - 31
    2017 - 25

The best was still that one with scribble on it over the top of last week’s scorer... Was it Tapau last year? Laughing

Even in 2015 he only averaged 30 in 74 minutes. That seems to be his peak upside potential.
