I don't think Blair will play just 40 mins & drop 20 mins just to accomodate LAM getting 50 mins. The Warriors prop rotation is such that no 1 prop ever gets big mins. It's the same with the Eels pack because the Eels & Warriors have so many middle forwards.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Ideal situation for him would be that but I've gone cold on him now. Good player, and will likely help the Warriors, just won't help my fantasy team

I'm leaning towards having TPJ or Offa with Haas as a handcuff in the emergencies. I think Haas will be a slow burn but should eventually make cash, provides cover and if if TPJ/Ofa misses a game or two Haas would then be a good option to play in my FRF because he would quite possibly start in that event.

Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 5
I require a mods assistance i think.
Im going to design a logo for the group and want to get some ideas from the crew.
Thinking of doing an american sports team style logo with an animal or creature as the base.
So will probably need a seperate page setup aswell as a poll for popular ideas.
Sorry im posting this here, it gets the most traffic

WIth so much value in the halves, is anyone starting with a proven gun half in the likes of Reynolds or DCE?

I've definitely drifted away from a gun in the halves. I started with DCE and Morgan, then Cleary and Morgan..... then Morgan + various value options. Morgan has vanished now. Hmmmm

I put DCE in the first iteration of my team for the year, and haven't removed him....yet..
I've been burnt in the last couple of years by trying to get value buys in the halves, and regretting just not having at least one solid guy there to start.
I have Morgan as my other half, and Keighran + D Brown in NPRs. As of my current lineup I only need play one of those cheapies (or potentially none) - I just don't want to be in a situation where I'm reliant on cheap halves to score well.

Cameron Smith is a bit of a trap this year I feel.

The last couple of years I’ve left it till late. This year I’ve spent a bit of time most days juggling the team around. My last 3 years when leaving it till late have been my most consistent finishes so might be counter productive spending the extra time on itCubanMafiaSandSlugs wrote:SI wrote:

Onya SI. The most humble member on here. How's the team planning going?

I quite like Cleary, but not sure if I will pull the trigger on him or not. I think there is a case to be made that he is a little bit undervalued due to injury last season (and his slow fantasy form post injury). Then perhaps a bit of a leap of faith that he might be able to further boost his average with better form / attacking stats etc...
If not then I'll return to the value guys / risk reward fullahs like Morgan, Croft, and the rookies.

I have Cleary & Clifford atm. I think Penrith will start well & now that Kikau is on Cleary's edge I can see Cleary putting through Kikau who scores but if he doesn't then Cleary will be backing up to score himself. I have both Cleary & Kikau because imo that combo will be very destructive & score big points.

I’ve got Arey at moment. I’d rather have dce. I want a few set and forgets through the team. Unproven halves, or halves with question marks over their roles are really scary.

In fact imo Penriths's left edge will destroy teams = Kikau, Cleary, W. Blake. Mansour. Fantasy points galore for those 4 players.

Re: 2019 NRL.com Fantasy thread part 5
I think you need at least 1 gun half preferably one who is also the gk & who is the dominant kicker in general play. After the hookers the halves touch the ball the most so you need at least 1 top half there.

I have doubts about LAMs ability to improve on last year.
but I had similar doubts about Vaughan when he went from Canberra to the Dragons and he went on to kill it, so I'm wondering if LAM is going to do the same.

But Vaughan went to a good team whereas LAM has gone to a poor team. Vaughan joined a gun forward pack whereas LAM joins a soft pack. Normally this is good for fantasy but I don't think LAM will get the mins.
