Ponga. I think he'll be a target early and over play his hand a little. I'll pick him up after he drops some cash. If he does drop cash.

Need a captain, would need to be confident in Fifita or Arrow or someone else in your team averaging 60+ over the first few rounds.

    Lone Scout tweeted

    DBrown 43, Mahoney 62, Simmonson 4 CNK 28

Only those players, and no stats breakdown I've seen yet

If you missed the raiders eels trial yesterday like I did, it is available at https://www.nrl.com/tv/matches/pre-season-trials/2019/round-1/eels-v-raiders/
Just skip the first 6 minutes

    Thanks Milch!
DBrown and Mahoney are the players I was mainly interested in.

Anyone know BA’s thoughts on having a second hooker on the bench? Cameron king got the nod ahead of Pritchard a couple years back, surely Mahoney will get an 80 minute stint. Would be good if Mahoney and Egan both had 80 minutes

Angus Crichton not included in Roosters WCC squad due to shoulder surgery in off season

Something to be concerned by or not?? Or bonus because less chance of off season injury

    2018

    Cameron King
11 starts at hooker, four 80 minute games

    Kaysa Pricthard
8 starts at hooker, three 80 minutes games (one 6 minute game which I assume was injury)

    Reed Mahoney
4 starts at hooker, two 80 minute games (and one 70 minute game)

    Will Smith
1 start at hooker, one 80 minute game

    Overall
10 out of 24 games played an 80 minute hooker (at least once  injury forced a hooker sub, maybe more)

They played two players in the 9 jersey. Mahoney played well, but I think they have counted the other number 9s points for him.

    that's great Rolling Eyes

At least we've got a bit of data on Mahoney from last season.

Anybody else planning to spend their Saturday night next week with 5-6 different tabs open on their computer streaming all of the trial games simultaneously as they frantically flick back and forth looking for any action or plays of brilliance from key fantasy interests?

Maybe we could try and organize a few people to watch each game intently so we at least have some coverage of all the games going on. For instance, I would be happy to focus mainly on the Rabbitohs v Panthers trial and let people know any points worth mentioning.

Or will the streams be accessible later such as with the Eels v Raiders last night?
In which case it matters not and my little adventure can bleed over long into the early hours of Sunday morning

With a cemented hooker surely the amount of 80 minute games could come more often.

What makes Reed Mahoney any more secure in his job than Cameron King, Kaysa Pritchard or Reed Mahoney

Here is Brad Arthur saying he prefers an 80 minute hooker (in 2018)

to me Mahoney looks more composed controlling the ruck. Kaysa is a bit more erratic.
As a parra supporter I hope BA goes with Mahoney
