4) Both Capewell and Nikora start (I guess they are centres) - yes Nikora will go Holland if gk
5) Lachlan Burr starts at lock - yes
6) Tapine starts at 2RF (80 mins) - no I can't fit him in
There could be a plethora of second row forward options to peer with Stimson, Murray and Arrow/Chricton

First two, I'd strongly consider, and probably get at least one. Won't take risk on D Fifita, and I honestly don't think he will play 80, at least early in the season. Nikora would be in my side. At this stage I am very unlikely to touch Burr, and Tapine I will be passing on.
I would expect Difita to be more likely to start playing 80 early in the season while Gillette is coming back from a major injury.

The kid is a freak but he's still only 18. He only played 3 full games of QLD Cup before coming into the NRL last year. I agree that Gillett will ease in, re minutes, but if they push D Fifita for 80 mins they will burn him out by round 20. We've got Glenn OR Su'A to fit into the 17, I think early season it will be a bit of a 3 way rotation between the edges.

I tend to agree mate. You tend to forget D. Fifita is so young because he's a big individual & he can handle himself & dominate. I want him in my team but the Broncos have a lot of experience in the back row. However if he is in the starting 13 in round 1 imo his ownership will skyrocket due to his price & potential.

I just remembered he has come out & said he wants to play origin this year so he's not worried about burn out.

1) Not really on my radar so probably no
2) Definitely worth a look. I would lean towards Leilua if I could find room
3) Named to start: I don't think I'm comfortable enough with how the Broncos forwards would work. They all cant be options but it appears that they are. I'd be the one that makes the wrong choice Not for me at this point but he is a beast. On the peripheral perhaps. If he plays 80 in round 1 then I'd need to seriously consider how to make room for him
4) Yep and yep. Cape in the 17 and Nikora probably a NPR
5) Yep, probably a NPR
6) Not for me. I cant say his name properly. Ta-Pine. TBH Sticky puts me off any Raiders players (for now)

if he gets the starting spot you'd have to consider him (with the possible exception being if he starts ahead of Gillett, as you assume Gillett will get back into starting team pretty quickly)
But like many, my back row is Arrow, Murray, Stimson - and is Fifita really a much better proposition than them. Well he'll probabyl score more than Stimson, but he's an extra $140k which would have to come into it

Assuming DFifita does start. How will you decide if he will play 80 minutes or not?
Same for Tapine

Only if Lowe starts on an edge and pushes Surgess back to lock.

A previous poster re Lowe pointed out that Lowe is still a Cowboy. I read on a sc site that Lowe was only going to Souths as a player swap for Gurgess when there was talk of Gurgess going to the Cowboys. The Gurgess deal fell through so it's unlikely Lowe will go to Souths.

The Lowe talk has me very nervous about Surgess ending up at 13 so I hope you're right.White Lightning wrote:A previous poster re Lowe pointed out that Lowe is still a Cowboy. It genuinely never occurred to me that the Cowboys might take Gurgess. What on earth would they do with another large frontrower? Use him as a goalpost?

I saw that, but waiting on TLT to be sure. As long as Widdop is at fullback and Dufty isn't on the bench then he's in, otherwise I'll leave him out.
Widdop spending some time in the halves wouldnt be a bad thing for his scores would it?
Then you have mcinnis starting hooker then spending time at lock and hunt halves and hooker
