Cows were not great in the first half, but they through everything at us in the second. Genuinely strong win on the back of the scrambling defence we seem to have developed since Farah was boned.

That appeared to me to be Tigers best game of the year, the 2nd best game was round 1. In both Farah and Brooks were missing.
Can't fault the Tigers yesterday, my only problem was ET getting concussed and stuffing my fantasy score, I'll be having stern words with him about that.

Re: Wests Tigers 2016 Thread
Was amazing being at Leichhardt yesterday, best win in a long time. Shit down Thurston completely and just didn't let the cowboys play. Looked in control defensively too. Naiqama and Moses actually looked like they could tackle people.
Nofoaluma was immense, as was Moses, Woods (especially in his first stint) and Sauaso Sue too. You could tell how fired up they were for a big one when they had a whole team celebration huddle when Thurston knocked on on the 5th towards the end.
The win probably means we won't see Farah again. I'm not a fan of sending a winger to play hooker for 30 minutes a game and reshuffling the team around it, but looks like that's what we'll be getting

I can't believe I'm saying this, but go "Roosters", tonight. They are my least favourite team but I'm barracking for them tonight

Tigers looking to sign Sam Moa. I hope not, as good a player he was, he's almost 30 and is on the downward slide. We want someone who will improve and I reckon our front row stocks are pretty good for the future. Use the money to re-sign ET

Farah would have been quite useful out there today.
As talented as Moses is. He and Brooks lose a lot of tight finishes. If the scores are tied going into the last 10 minutes we just can't seem to do things right.

Could also argue that the scores wouldn't have been level with 10 to go if Farah was out there.
Regardless of that argument, I think we got the ruff end of the pineapple today

Is there nobody else who can kick in our entire 17?

Keith Barnes, Ross Conlon & Pat Richards - so about once every 20 years. We've got some time to wait.Krump wrote:Is there nobody else who can kick in our entire 17?

Should just forfeit when we cop Badger, save our For and Against and injuries.

So True. Such is the life of a Tigers supporter. We've had 4 goal kickers not 3 in the last 60 years

Re: Wests Tigers 2016 Thread
Agree with the Milch, Farah would have been handy in that situation. Moses is not experienced enough to manage a tight game.
We need a goal kicker real bad, I wonder if Richards would consider coming out of retirement for minimum wage. He would be better on the wing then Rankin and can kick goals, drop out and restarts (which we do plenty of). Benji is on the market, play him on the wing and to kick goals, lol.
We certainly did cop a pineapple up the rear in regards to reffing decision and maybe we should look at forfeiting Badger controlled games to save injury at least, good idea SI.
Anyway, things appear back to normal for a frustrated Tigers supporter.
I hope Teddy's ok and the injury is just a fracture and not a break, but it didn't look good for the poor bloke.

I dont understand how someone can head high someone - the victim gets a broken jaw and has to go off - yet the guy who does the head high stays on the park.
If you do an illegal act and it injures someone - you should get sent off.

if there is intent maybe, teddy was falling massively
honestly think james is unlucky to get a grade 2, most of the grade 1's handed out have been much worse

Meh - he was falling. If not, then a definite send off. No intent for mine, but given there was an injury, it ups the charge. That's the way it's been recently, otherwise I agree - Grade 1

He wasnt falling that much at all.
It a head high with a lot of force... should have been sent off because of the injury it caused. Thats how they ref these days.

I'll tell you why your theory doesn't work, mate.
Important game, high tackle from JT on a nobody who stays down and does off for good just to get JT sent off. Says his jaw is broken and the club rule him out for 4 weeks, JT gets suspended and then the player recovers well enough to play the next week.
JT has now been sent off and suspended for nothing.
That's why you can't make decisions on the field based on injuries.

Re: Wests Tigers 2016 Thread
To be fair JT is a protected species and probably has 4 weeks owing. How long would have James got if it was JT he hit and put him out for the season ? Anyone think 1 week is kidding themselves.
