haha. 20 minutes.

I actually like the thought of Morts on the bench. The issue is Ballin or Liddle as starting hooker. I guess the youngster has to bide his time but we don't want to lose him, even though he just re-signed.

Surely there is better available than Mortimer.

I don't think we'll be able to rely on Ballin.

Maybe Taylor will stick with his plan of moving a winger to hooker for half a game, forcing a centre out to the wing and bringing on a 2nd rower to cover for the centre.

We're lucky we've played 2 rubbish teams the past 2 weeks. Scored 2 quick tries against Parra then basically clocked off for the rest of the game. Not going to be that easy against the good teams.

The line for the Cowboys game is only 6.5 at the moment which seems crazy. I expect us to get done by at least 20

Thurston being out is keeping us in it I guess.

Fair call. He is one of the best Halves getting around defensively, might be replacing one of the worst halves defensively you think?

Who knows mate...I doubt even Tigers management does!

But yeah all the talk has been about moving on one of the worst halves defensively and Mort's is more of a half than a hooker IMO.

He's also a very good reserve grader.

Not keen on him as a bench utility Krumpy? I don't think I'd want him as starting hooker but would be happy with him controlling things next to Moses as well in the halves. Very good defensively which is a hole on Brooks side teams have targetted for the last couple of years.

I could live with him at 14 but he's proven that he's not really an NRL quality half, he may be better than Brooks defensively but really who isn't. I don't really see him offering much more than Littlejohn could in the halves, the positive is that he'll be cheap as it doesn't look like Farah will be going anywhere in a hurry.

the guy is an OK backup. Definitely not a starting first grade half. Brilliant reserve grader. Would not want him in the starting team at 9 or 7/6.

Tigers beat the Cowboys without Brooks and Farah. Coincidence? I think not.

Moses has gone from strength to strength without Farah, and how good was having a bit of size and not a turnstile in the halves.

JT knows it. There's a reason there is a rumour circulating about Mortimer and nothing about Moses leaving.

Told my eldest we couldn't win today 

Cows were not great in the first half, but they through everything at us in the second.  Genuinely strong win on the back of the scrambling defence we seem to have developed over the last month.
