Followed it on Twitter, probably doesn't help if you had a question though.

Curious as to how Siro went? I thought he'd be back in first grade by now but it looks like he's out for the foreseeable future.

Edit: Is this just more evidence to the way the club and Taylor want to handle our cap situation? Just dump anyone you want to get rid of in the hope that they get the shits and walk out on what they're owed. Sironen definitely deserved a stint in reserve grade but anyone who thinks Lovatt offers more than him has rocks in their head.

Everything I have read about Siro was he was a pain in the ass and wouldn't put in so they're happy to boot him.

The Knights will take him. Could be a good player after getting the boot.

I doubt he's going anywhere after triggering the clause to give himself another year. Either that or we'll pay him exhorbitant money to play against us and he'll make the club look like fools AGAIN.

I think everyone has pretty much nailed the different angles.

I will not speculate on Siro to Newcastle despite what I've heard because last time I did it got published. He's not smacking it out of the park and to shake the bludger tag thats what he needs to do. I could perform well in the job a grade down from what I'm being paid to do with my hands behind my back. Question is do I want to do the extras to prove I'm better than this ?
In regards to handling our cap situation. Yes. Nobody wants them, so our 2 option is pay the money for them to play ressies and hope they find a gig elsewhere and leave on their own accord nobody wants Siro on a halfies deal. The Robbie deals on the table include dollars and swapsies but either way we are still paying $500 and we want to pay $400. It comes full circle to the comments made at the start of the year by Taylor and Pascoe about our cap situation over the next couple of years. They make a high level statement "we wont be in the market" but this is the detail. Every Board member and his dog were presenting players with contracts and it's a miracle we aren't over the cap. But we do have plodders picking up sweet extentions, Think CLaw, we dodged a bullet there with that extension.

Its almost like sironen activated the player optioin his contract - which would be big money - knowing that he wouldnt get an offer like that from anywhere. So he is soaking up the cash while he can, because no club will offer him any more than say 200k with what he has shown in FG so far.

I've read that JT said he would play 250 games and he's 3 short so time is running out if that's true. Doubt it myself.  Every win is a nail in Farah's coffin.

That being said, a Farah return for his last game at Leichhardt against our 2005 grand final rivals is stuff fairy tales are made of. The lift from crowd & players could make the difference (also without Thirsty & Feldt).  May be JT is a genius and has been playing us all this time.

We win next week and with our draw, top 8 becomes a more than 50% chance.

I was waiting to see if we won this week. I'm heading over to Tigers message boards to troll "JT has done more for Farah than any other coach. Letting him play first grade at the detriment of the team so he could cash in on origin and then sending him out a winner and handing him a premiership he wouldn't have otherwise got.

    Hahahaha

Seriously, well done Tigers. It wasn't your best performance but you got the job done, and how nice was it to finally get the rub of the green from the refs for change.

How good was Moses. I think in another year or two he could be pushing for Blues jersey. Still has plenty in his game to work on but definitely has the potential there.

People have been flogggin Brooks but he's 50 games in and he ain't no Moses. There's a reason we are only keeping one and going for an older head that aint Farah.

From memory our win percentage with Farah at Half is horrible.  Apart from that Moses has been the one winning games for us so personally can't see why Littlejohn can't come up and do a job for us.

Halatau has actually been pretty damned good I reckon.  Has stolen some very cheeky metres out of dummy half the last few games.

yeah fair point, he hasnt really come on as they would have wanted.
I dont think they are looking for an old head in the halves tho. They are looking to keep brooks and moses together.

Moses is more of a halfback though, Joey is right. he is a first receiver.

I wouldnt hate for newcastle to chase brooks - I think he performs better without moses.
Newie should let hodkinson to go the dragons, and pick up brooks.

Yeah, they've got so many high quality hookers available he might as well start at fullback and try Teddy at halfback.
Whatever's best for the team as we move forward.
