With lack of current base price FR options pending TLT, Napa is sadly one of the better options. His price point/potential is a pain but he does have previous fantasy pedigree had a season over 40 hasn’t he but may have been playing backrowKrump wrote:
The issue with that is it’s at that awkward point where do you play him or bench him? If you play him then he’s gotta be your first upgrade and being a slow burn you’ll miss half of his value. If you bench him you’re wasting money you could be using on points.

Have you looked at Bird stats from last year? I had him in my team. He is a never again. I am not saying that Garrick is a good option, just that Bird is worse. I personally have Nikora and Holland.

Ah right. Not that Garrick is good, just that Bird is worse. Check. Looks like you, mattnz and I actually agree on this.

Backrow really? One of the reasons I was considering him was two seasons in a row of 40+ albeit quite some time ago. I think the planner said prop for those but that only tells you where they started.

Edited for grammatical error
My memory is hazy it's been a while since Moylan played FB, but he was very good in real life from my recollection. But in fantasy, he's not that hard running tackle breaking fullback that you want.
Another consideration is Moylan likes to shovel the ball onto his wingers for kick returns. This makes Xerri if he gets a spot a must have.

Great point! Hadn't considered. I was concerned that outside Dugan he might not see much ball and still am, but that could make up for it!

Think madge is turning garlic sauce into a prop. If the last two nsw cup team lists are anything to go by. Has been named at prop both times.SI wrote:
They seem to have big wraps on Garner, he may hold his spot spot for Round 1. Still McQueen and Aloiai to factor in as well.

What are peoples thoughts on Capewell? How locked in is Nikora? Wondering about dropping Capewell and moving Nikora into the centres to bring Leilua onto the bench. I.e. Capewell vs. Leilua. Who's the better choice?

Hodgson's knack for creativity is probably why the supercoach guru is all over him. Keep in mind that you get 12 points for an assist, 8 points for an lba and now 4 for a try contribution in supercoach. Those numbers don't even compare to how try creation is valued in fantasy which is why Hodgson has upside for supercoach and not for fantasy

I'm seriously considering having no FRF cover. It's unlikely you'll need it if you pick two solid guys with guaranteed job security. If they're injured 3+ weeks they're a trade anyway and on the off chance your starters cop a one or two week injury/suspension, chances are you can trade one of your dud cows to a FRF cow with the benefit of knowing more about the line ups, bench rotations and forward minutes by that point.

Leilua all day every day. If starting 2nd row is a must have. He is likely this seasons Kikau.
Before adding Leilua, I had already dropped Capewell, seeing better options available in the same spot.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 thread part 8
I know I’ve said it about 472 times but I’m going to not touch my team until TLT. No point me guessing if this player is named and that player starts cause when they aren’t named it’ll just screw up the make of my team (money, DPP etc) so best to just leave it for now

Wasn't this the point people made about getting Katoa anyway? Do people think Rein and Brimson will be on the bench for the Titans come round 1? If Rein misses out, anyone interested in Nathan Peats? Could be handy given he plays round 12 and he ended the season with 55 and 56 playing 80
