Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 10
Anyone running with more than two hookers? Really surprised not seeing more of that. Mahoney's obviously a given, then Cook & Smith are clear guns - Cook I can see is too expensive but everyone going Fifita over Smith in same price bracket. Then I see more upside in McCullough and Friend than eg. Arrow or Matterson.

This place took off so well and I hate to say it but the main difference seems to have been direction and moderation. Hats off to all you POPO, barring an outrageous Broncos bias this place is the tits.
In sportal, most people couldn't create threads, and there were no basically no moderators on the fantasy side of things, which was crazy seeing as fantasy was 95% of their traffic.
Now there are 26 mods online every time page 51 comes around in order to cut the party off quick.

Also I'm impressed there are 10 leagues this site has really taken off.
Gordon kicked over Taylor all of last year too.
Only 1 game that Gordon played where Taylor kicked goals.
Tyrone Roberts is a possible kicker option too should Gordon get dumped for Brimson (was a massive Gordon fan back in his Penrith time, but can't believe they are playing him over Brimson nowadays)

It's really picking up here. Even last year was a lot busier. It's been so good seeing the new people joining in the convo, different perspectives too.
I will say though, kind of gutted Lone Scout promoted this site lol preferred the niche style and community rather than turning into some NRL Fantasy FB group

Tough to know what's best mate but I'm in agreement with you, the community style is what makes this place great
But can you turn away new members to keep it like that or can we convert them into the same ideals

I feel we have a good balance most new members lurk and get a feel for the forum before posting. I personally love seeing new guys engaging with the community than just posting their teams. I accept there is a need for that in a sense, hence the rate my team section.

They all have similar upside but you won’t finish the year with Maccarhinoceroo wrote:Anyone running with more than two hookers? Really surprised not seeing more of that. Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 10
The promotion shows just how good this site is. I don't think this community is going to be to everyone's taste because some people just like being dicks to each other for entertainment. The insulting and combative conversations here are usually in jest as opposed to other sites where anything is fair game. The loose restrictions around language etc has actually resulted in it being abused less than when it resulted in an insta-ban (3 strikes?) a la Sportal.
TL;DR the camaraderie is what puts this place above any others

My biggest dilemmas at the moment are Surgess & McCullough vs Tolman & Taumalolo, and whether to ditch Tedesco to Hughes and beef up my bench.

Macca, assuming he's SOO, is always a pre-bye trade to a Taupau/Lolo type Rnd 12 keeper... the hope is that he scores 55s until then and is a simple trade.

It was definitely a shitfight over there. The coolest thing about here is it just seems to mod itself which goes back to the direction.Milchy wrote:

It's a very pleasant place to have a beer and talk fantasy.

I think we have a good mix here of footy talk with a bit of shit-talking.
Place hardly needs moderation, most common thing is chucking dodgy pics behind NSFW tags. We have maybe 1 or 2 incidents a year where people go overboard

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 10
There's been new members signing up since the day fanatics started and it hasn't changed at all. More people playing fantasy and coming here instead of some of the Facebook groups can only be a good thing for the community.Rapture_NRL wrote:It's really picking up here.
