Yes, Overall points scored across 17 scoring positions, not just 17 players. So averages very much come into it. When Arrow gets a 1 week injury you don't play only 16 players, that's what the bench is for mate.

Eels had De Gois and Pritchard in the past, who yes were shit fantasy scorers. Cameron King didn't do too badly when he got the minutes. Past scores don't usually predict future scores, especially when the actual player is different.
Good luck for the season too.

Ah, wrong. From an individual player perspective, the ONLY thing that counts is their overall points. That’s what goes on your score at the end of the year. I thought you worked with figures? I’m a CPA. It’s an overall competition for the prize. James’ average has always been higher than Arrow’s and that won’t be changing.

Agreed but I’m still none the wiser lol.....might flip a coin

Today is definitely a day to be knocking off work early. I'm even less productive than usual.

I think I am starting to fall in love with my team.
I might even marry it and start a family of little WAG teams.

Just need to decide on Capewell v Holland and we can all live happily ever after

Josh Jackson has said CHN will play in the middle, while he and RFM look to play close to 80 on edges.

"That's why [Harawira-Naera] is good, he's a very selfless player, he'll play in the middle even though he hasn't played there too much before. I'd imagine that will be his role unless there's some injuries.

"He's been fantastic, his training has been really good, he's a real skilful player. Watching him in the Canberra trial he's very physical as well so that's probably where Deano got the idea to throw him in the middle. He was hitting pretty hard. He's going to have a big year for us.

My response was in response to 'The entire game is based on overall points, so well leave it there. I won’t be getting Mahoney week 1. Parra are notorious for shit scoring hookers. There’s a reason they’re wooden spooners. Have a good year'.

The entire game is not purely picking 17 players that are individually going to score the most points (but is the case if they are a keeper and play all 24 rounds), it is using trades to maximize scoring across 17 scoring positions. So averages become very important across different sections of the season.

You could pick a player that averages 65 (Cook) across the first 11 weeks, then gets injured for the rest of the year, and replace him with a 55 average player. None will be in the overall points equation come seasons end.

Arrow will average more and score more total points than James this season (gut feel - doesn't make me better than anyone if I'm right).

EDIT: I think your Avatar has made me just want to argue with you, he's such a smug prick. Apologies to any Trump lovers out there.

    Possibly but maybe not Laughing

Last year he averaged 56 over his first 6 games and made a quickfire 120k from a similar starting price.
    Then the wheels fell off and he scored 23, 23, 40, 82*, 26, 76.
A big gamble and too hard to answer definitively. I am somewhat interested in him, but doubt I will have the stones to take what will be a very bumpy ride

I was only interested in him if he was starting on an edge.

The news that he will (likely) play middle may mean Tolman doesn't play the minutes that people are expecting.

Pangai jnr training strongly at Broncos. Looks certain to play.

Even on the bench he will be in my team. Will still see 45-50 minutes and is the type of player to score a point a minutes. Just cause Seibold has named is squad doesnt mean it cant change.
