My h2h league is full. League of the Legless. Thanks guys. Monumental match up this week - SI v White Lightning. Should be an enthralling battle.

There’s 33 so far in the open league, the Reg Reagan Allstars. Fill her up guys.

A forward is usually a safer captain pick than a back so A. Fifita for me. Also you were asking about the cheapies then refer to my post after your post for a list of the viable players up to 230k. Write them down & when the team lists are released later on today pick the best ones.

My take on this list, if you don't have Keighran, DBrown and Nikora you probably should just give up.
I will have Ravalawa but not sure on Garrick in that backline the Sea Eagles could get pumped.

The next two will probably become traps (Host/Burr) and don't play round 12. Host I am definitely avoiding due to low PPM and will only see 50-55 minutes at best, and with direct competition from LLeilua and then the potential move of Frizzell back to an edge when Sims returns.
Burr is probably someone you can gamble on as we have seen he has a high workrate, can cover lock but most likely to be used in the middle of the game as a defensive tackle bot prop.
I can actually see Blake Lawrie as the winner of no JDB, and he has a spot in my side as FRF cover. Will likely stay in 17 regardless as 4th/5th middle player. Could even see him start with James Graham on bench to split Graham/Vaughan to leave experience on field at all times.

I then move along to Sele, who has impressed in trials (also had scores of 30 and 40 in trials). If JFH starts on an edge in place of Kikau I expect to see Sele start at 13 (play first 25-30 minutes) with potentially JFH moving in to lock and 1 of Kaide Ellis/Jed Cartwright coming on. Hetherington will be bench prop along with Leota with Tamou and RCG starting. Sele will come back on for last 20-25 minutes which will either see JFH come off or go back to an edge. Sele is in my side.

I tend to avoid rookie nrl bench props like the plague as they tend to see 20 mins or less but some could surprise.

I may take a gamble on Xerri as with any injury in back 5 I see him getting a start. Dugan and Moylan and Katoa already with niggles. It may come down to Garrick vs Xerri for me.

Lomax and Allan will be good cash outs and hope they don't arrive until around week 5 or 6.

One other player I will probably take the gamble with may be Waddell from Manly. Can play 13 or edge, has impressed, is in 17 and likely a future gun. Manly play round 12 and with Turbo out with Origin should start. Expecting him to jag minutes in the middle and also maybe 20 minutes off Siro given he is coming back from injury.

So Keighran, DBrown, Nikora, Lawrie, Sele, Waddell, Ravalawa for me.

    Potentially Xerri/Garrick and Burr.

I've joined both of your leagues so cheers Rabs. Ok so I'm up against my old mate SI. SI is so humble & always downplays his team but he's a formidable opponent. He will lull you into a false sense of security then boom your done.

Great summary & opinion bro. Just on Waddell apparently Catfish (ex SC chamion) asked Wacko about Waddell & Wacko said Paseka is a chance for round 1 if he passes a fitness test & Tanginoa is aiming for a round 2 return. This makes sense as Paseka & Tanginoa were 2-4 week injuries & it's coming up to 2 weeks since they were injured. If Waddell is seen as a bench option he may be out of the 17 after round 2.

Channel 9 reporting Raiders sign George Williams for 2020 season. Unlikely to have a major impact on fantasy this year but could see Wighton experiment end early

was about to say this adds more risk to CNK, also especially if Rapana returning earlier than expected maybe we might see the Raiders be good this year.

Who knows what will happen with Panthers and DEDwards spirits with all the off-field business also

That is an excelllent back 3 & is fine but if you're are after some cash you could downgrade either Edwards or Tedesco to someone like B. Morris, Burns, H. Hunt, Kahu or even some of the 212k wfb's if starting & use the cash to upgrade elsewhere.

I think he is good enough to oust a couple of those guys personally, but I guess they do have gosiewski too. No Lane or Winterstein though so not much depth at Manly if the odd injury happens

But Paseka & Tanginoa are in the prop rotation & Waddell is primarily an edge 2fr so he's no threat to them but they are a threat to him as a bench reserve.

Yeah, Just one of those gambles really. If not for an injury 2017 would have been in line to debut for Panthers instead of CHN, and we all know how CHN went that year. Then a pec injury last year and Manly picked him up.
Think he will go well, and if he doesn't get much of a chance he will be starting lock for Turbo round 12. Played in the baby trial vs Roosters at lock and scored a good try.
Has bulked up apparently and could be used in middle as well as an edge.

He's a very good player & apparently he's been one of the top performers in pre season. Sironen & Thompson will start in the 2fr but Sironen usually gets injured at some stage so I'd say Waddell would be first in line to replace him.

I'm keen on Sele and Lawrie too. Waddell is a pass for me. Manly's backrow play big minutes, not sure if he is going to be part of the front row rotation so I don't see him getting many minutes.

If Luke is out for 2 weeks then starts back off the bench Roache could be an option? Also does Tatola have enough time to make enough cash. Sounds like he was impressive in the trials. Is Burgess out for 3 weeks? That would be 3 games as starting prop then assume he would shift back to the bench with a low B/E.

Just reading sc & apparently the Raiders signing of George Williams is for the 2020 season so CNK is safe.

      Current date/time is Sat Nov 16, 2024 3:18 am
