Lomax looked totally lost on the wing in defence and attack

It was just a trial, and Lomax has been highly rated for a while. I reckon he'll get a chance at some point this year to show his stuff

There’s enough better gurus on past stats, so some typical eye test and gut feel stuff from me...Verbal Kint wrote:I keep flip flopping on Tolman, Gillett, CNK, BMOZ and Mahoney. I'm just not entirely comfortable with them. They keep going down and up, side to side etc. Tolman keeps turning into Napa to free up cash to upgrade CNK or BMOZ.... then back again. Mahoney to Friend etc. I think the rest of my team is locked and loaded.
Lock out will save me some stress I think
Current WFB of Tedesco / CNK / BMOZ looks dangerous but I cant help feeling that Edwards is the right play. Or running with Rava back there (he is in my 21).
Anyway, I'm not sure where I'm going here. I guess that we're all in a similar boat. Most are locked in and we're playing on the fringes for the final spots.

Brown, Keighran and Nikora?

Tolman is a workhorse prop who was able to put up scores when playing alongside his brother a younger graham back in their better days. Good fantasy pedigree there and a workhorse middle who is sub 600 and without Klemmer, Woods and Rhys Martin in the middle he looks set for good minutes and Napa doesn’t change anything, nor does he “cover” him
Gillett will make some money I’m sure but for me has always been a good real life player with many better fantasy options than him in the position. Back in the day of 3 backup 2RFs i never would have owned Gillett and preferred to take the punt on a Tohu Harris or up and coming type at a similar price. Examples of that player for me now would be a Murray, Radley, Twal or Lane. I just see these sort of guys as having bigger upside. The press is looking good that he will move to an edge when TPJ comes on but for me he’s a wait and see. It’s not just TPJ (who should be the eventual lock) but they also have a beast in Fifita to breakout. If you’re ok with 60-65mins then he’s of course a solid pick.
CNK is at an awkward price frankly as he’s no good thing to cover much cheaper wingers week on week but looks a likely type and plays fullback for an attacking side (with not many other fantasy options, so a bit of “cover” if you will). Plays round 12, is quick, slippery, silky. Think Morris will probably outscore him for 7k less but he’s enabler for higher spend in the centres.
BMOZ mentioned above I think is really good value. If he’s not 450k+ at year end in the team that will absolutely belt some opposition I’d be surprised. Will outscore nearly all wingers and some fullbacks, and put in the odd monster score.
Mahoney I have no idea. I’m defensively picking the kid. He’s a real talent but very young in his position. Will Smith can’t possibly be a factor here but news around mcilwrick unsettling. Would suggest to just pick him and get rid if they do put a real hooker in the 14 jersey in coming weeks. If you don’t have radley He’d be the logical 14 in your fantasy squad with both 2RF and HK to his name

So many players I'm unsure about. Mahoney. Napa. Kahu. Ravalawa. Nikora. Feel like I may have overloaded a bit on the cheapies and mid-range players with potential. Also have no idea how I should order my 14-21.
Anyway this is what I came up with:
Thoughts? Roast me please
Couple of blatant traps I feel like I've avoided are Lachlan Burr (Papali'i to come back next week) and Corey Allan (on the bench?). Also seems there is a few $228k forwards who are every chance of continuing to average less than 15.
