Yes, I have him. Tends to start the year strong (the whole Dragons team are the first half of the year premiers every year). Got a 99 round 2 last year, want to give him a shot, worst case he gets 30s, best case he kills it.

People were getting confused because i went into some research on him and saw one site stated he played 20 games (which equates to 69ppg) and one site said he played 29 games. I couldn't be fucked going into every single game he played and went off 29 games which equated to roughly 40-45 ppg which is what his BE is, so I say this could possibly be correct. I'm not sure though.

I haven't really looked into Bateman, but when looking at ESL stats in the past, some places include Finals and Challenge Cup games in stats, some places only regular league games. Can be a bit confusing when trying to reconcile stats summaries.

I already have him, saw his super league stats and they were insane, worked out at 69 points per game.

    Using 2018 player stats from - https://www.rugby-league.com/superleague/stats/player_stats

He comes out at about 46 fantasy points per game if he played 29 games, or 49ppg if he played 27 games (hard to tell whether those stats are counting challenge cup or not)

EDIT - it looks as if the 2 challenge cup games are not listed in those stats, as he was sin binned in a challenge cup game, but it is not listed. So 49ppg from 27 games appears to be more correct.

Yeah Staggs is a gun, so we should be OK without Roberts if he's out for a little bit. Two middle forwards down already though which really hurts us.

Didn’t mean that as a cheap shot. More the observation the emotional rollercoaster ride you clearly go through as a supporter

bird looked good in fantasy and IRL i reckon. the dropped ball sucks, but it was also a damn good tackle. shame he's stuck in position 21 in my team.

TPJ Ofa up front with Flegler and Carrigan/Fensom on the bench. TPJ and Ofa in for some big minutes. TPJ will have a slightly bigger BE next week, i'd say probably 45-46, Ofa will be around 43 again, one of them could be a good pick up next week.

Siebold will want Fensom's experience there next week. If it was any longer he could have been a great pick up at $290k for a former gun that just needs minutes. Come origin time he could get some big minutes, worth considering down the track for some quick cash.

Its funny, there was 3839 errors recorded across 192 games last season, at just under 20 errors per game, but Bird drops one ball, and the world is caving in for Broncos fans.

Probably all the non league games like challenge cup were included in the 29.

Definitely. He's a 50+ average scorer. I don't think you'll make much from him but he's consistently pumping out gun scores.
Hardly any talk about him this pre-season except about how beautiful he is when he lets his hair out.

How many of those 3839 errors were made by a centre getting paid $1million per season?

Rapture_NRL wrote:Bird wasn't as bad in real life as some are making out. Yes he coughed up the ball leading to a try, but the same play with earlier ball led to a try. Biggest thing I noticed is he seemed strong in the tackle vs last year where lacked confidence. Some pretty average run options (two that stuck out for me was a run in instead of passing to an open Corey, and a run in getting tackled by a standing Bromwich). Early shakes, he should come right through the season. Worth a cash grab next week too

He'll rack up the tackles standing next to Milf. With Oates on the outside and Milf inside, i think bird may be one i regret not getting in off the bat

It seemed like a cheap shot but if it wasn't then all good.

I do go OTT sometimes but it doesn't mean I support the Broncs any less. I am too passionate I guess lol.

Last night was the best game Bird has played in Broncos colours. He didn't do a whole lot, but it's a slow process with him.

My girlfriends team is pretty Poddy. I reckon she'll go alright for her second year stint.

    Koro
    Lodge Finger McLean
    Murray Matto Arrow(c)
    Milf Hughes
    Ramien Nikora
    Sivo CNK Burns

    Garner Mahoney Keighran Egan
    Turbo Excited DBrown Brailey Ravaman

    23K remaining

I liker her Turbo pick, at 2.2% ownership and back next week he will be good. Mahoney seems to be near POD level at 10.7%.
