This was the round of the hookers, and new 80 minute second row edge players. Some crazy scores for round 1.

I would get off Garrick now for a cash cow, right the wrong early, Sea Eagles winger up against a hurting Roosters team this week, it's going to get messy. Tempted to trade Teddy in and captain him.

Anyone else thinking of leaving there team as is ? Acouple of under performances but considering the weather and first round, I'm not flicking an under performing gun (Teddy & Taupau & Arrow) and the cows are making money

Yeah I'm considering it. I think I have enough cash to swap two cows to Bird and Lawrie. Gonna hurt missing Bateman and Gillett, but I gotta think long term

Definitely wouldn’t be removing any of those names. No Worries wrote:Anyone else thinking of leaving there team as is ? Acouple of under performances but considering the weather and first round, I'm not flicking an under performing gun (Teddy & Taupau & Arrow) and the cows are making money
First couple of rounds for fixing wrong picks, getting better rookies and moneymakers and correcting/tweaking the best mid-rangers as we know only a handful of them elevate to gun.
Couple closer to the gun end reared their head with a reminder of why they are big value - Friend, Gillett, Bateman... but I wouldn’t want to be removing a keeper for them.
They are in Radley/Twal/Holland territory of offering some correction potential

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 17
Why would anyone trade a gun after 1 week unless injured long term (Nathan Brown) or a really poor score/performance/role e.g Tapine.
I wouldn't consider trading Arrow/Taupau/Teddy until injured long term as they are keepers. 46 points from Arrow is only 5 points less than his break even.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 17
wow can't believe some of the players people are talking about trading.
Surely Edwards doesn't get shafted?! Panthers had 40% possession and even then kept losing the ball before they could get up to the tryline for attacking plays. They also missed his TA. I think the 20 (really 25) he scored was pretty good given the way that game panned out, probably the lowest he will get all season, and everybody expects the panthers to fire at some point right? You can't just trade a player every time they get a low score and there werent exactly a huge list of candidates in that WFB who did exceedingly better.

Considering dropping Johnson for Morgan. Am I crazy or solid move to make cash and get him back or other gun half later?

I'd be surprised if there are many teams out there that cant be improved prior to round 2. What's your team man? Im picking there will be a CC or two you could get in to generate more money at the least. Alternatively, IMO there are several mid-ranges that confirmed themselves as pretty solid options (if not must haves): Gillett, Morgan, Mahoney, Bateman to name a few.
I certainly wouldn't be trading out a potential keeper though. It was a pretty mucky round with the rain, and as others have said it was only one round. Taupau, Teddy, Edwards, Arrow etc are all in sides for a reason and that hasn't changed. Its the fringe guys that were selected (or not selected) that IMO are the ones worth trading.

Gotta have Morgan IMO so you do what you need to do to get him, but SJ is a keeper so not sure losing him is the way to go. Other options? doesn't have to be a Half for a half.

I have Gillett and swapped out Radley for Bateman before Friday's game. Holland is my biggest concern

I'm really happy with my team but still thinking of getting on one or 2 cows
holland would be a keep if I had more confidence in the dogs and there weren't so many other good centre options
Looking like holland to just lawrie could be an option. Bateman another target as a season keeper but not sure where to take the cash from

Yeah my Arrow and CNK scores haven't been added either, seems like a few people have the same bug[/quote]
My Round 1 score and overall score are different.
I'm fairly certain there has only been one round so far.

I can see the reasoning behind dropping a player like Edwards if you don't have other urgent trades. Edwards would have been brought into the team as a underpriced player and potential keeper, but scoring 20 sees him bleeding cash instead of making cash, and it will probably take him a couple rounds to turn this around. It's early in the game and in these crucial first rounds you want to be making as much cash as possible to set up your final 17. By dropping Edwards for one of the premium cash making cows you quickly plug the money leaking hole in your team.
This reasoning would only apply for the early "formation" rounds of the season. Dropping a player like Edwards for a low score in say round 6 is silly buggers.

In similar place but won’t be Bird for me. Just going to stick with the sharks pair at centr with Kahu as my 18-21 DPP I think. Means I can get someone like a Lawrie or Mikaele for Garrickwolfking wrote:Garrick to Bird

I really want bateman but I everyone performed pretty well in my team that i can't justify the trade. I'll just let my cheapies make the cash and upgrade a center to him later on
