if tamou was a much have would it be more urgent to trade him in than bateman because bateman won't rise that much this week with a BE of 40

Taupau's 2nd stint he didnt take a hit up and looked to have injured his hand. Definitely wouldnt be trading a keeper that plays the first bye after one week

So Thursday night, if Lawrie is shifted to bench in final team lists, do I hold or change him to host/Bird?

thoughts on arrow -> bateman and twal -> surgess.

my gut says yes but since Arrow would have got more minutes if not for t-rob getting injured, not 100% on selling him after 1 week. I just have to get Twal out and Bateman in somehow, and I think Surgess is in for a big year considering he scored 54 with an HIA, the rabbits have a good draw and they'll be going to the right a lot with a-rey feeding him short balls.

as for the argument that selling a gun is a bad idea, I mostly agree but I think it can work. I know SC is different but last year I did a similar thing there (sold Surgess for Ese'ese in R2 to fund upgrading Moses to SJ when Moses flopped) and it worked well for me despite costing trades.

Whatever your answer, be prepared to ask the same question next week when K Sims returns

I doubt he plays anymore than 40 even if he starts. I'm still not convinced with Bird either but at least he's got job security.

Any one have any gut-wrenching stories of last minute changes or conversely favourable ones?

I dropped Widdop for Burns to be able to get Munster in for Napa right before the Thursday lockout Smile

I'm okay with him going back to the bench when Sims is back and in fact expect it. I just want to pick the guy who makes the most money and starting for one week could make all the difference in what I see as a line ball decision. MTB's answer (edit: and krumpet) probably more helpful as I think he's right, he'll probably score similar in any case.

Didn’t even realise Sele started last week, know he went off injured!

How was he going before he went off? At almost base he is mighty tempting although with Kikau around the corner he will go back to bench for sure

Do you have Taupau as well as or instead of Fifita? Hard to take the C off Fifita if he had it last week for you.

He was going really well I thought and about a point a minute before injury. Should still start a couple of times (assuming he does this week) before bench. Should make some money but I wouldn't bring him in you didn't have him already with all the other value around.
