Not sure if posted yet but Parra have signed Matt Mcllwrick and will most likely be coming off the bench in a couple of weeks

I guess I will wait till late on to see if IPap gets the nod instead of him. Although every chance he could hold his spot if IPap gets the starting nod and a potential move for Blair to the front row.

Warriors do like a no frills lock. So Burr could potentially hold his spot.
He was really quiet until the try letting Green take control. He seemed to find a bit of confidence after that and took on more responsibility.

Seems like a case of last weeks points to me. I can't remember the last time Friend had so many attacking points in him, was it an outlier or is he going to scoot more this year?

It looked more like the opportunity presented itself rather than he was looking for it. I'm expecting another big game purely because they lost and they're playing Manly

Viliame Kikau is a chance to return in Round 3 according to coach Ivan Cleary. If achieved it would be a 5 week return to play for Kikau after he suffered a grade 2 MCL sprain in the preseason trials. Usual range is 3-6 weeks - nrlphysio

Friend is normally just a tackle bot, not known for attacking play. Doubt he gets a chance to have 65 tackles again this week.

His career PPM is about 0.75

I would trust 18 games over 1 game if you are trying to estimate his score based on PPM and estimated game time

But also no guarantee he actually plays, so keep an eye on late mail

Friend has shown attacking capability in the past. Previously he got a good boost to his scores when Mitchell Pearce missed game time. It's just that with Cronk/Keary he doesn't have as much responsibility on him so he can just farm the ball on to those that want it.

But I do agree that trading Friend in is chasing last weeks points. He will score well but not going to be getting 90s all the time

Looks like Cleary was the coach to make the most changes, and may have just named his round 1 starting team again. I'm weary of all Panthers forwards at the moment.

I did start with Mahoney hoping for 80 mins but it looks like this won't happen for a while & Mahoney did look like he was struggling in the 2nd half & needed a rest so he doesn't look ready for 80 mins just yet. Without the try he would of scored mid 30's & Friend will knock out at least 60's plus Friend is up against Manly so some attacking stats are a very good possibility for Friend. The trades I'm weighing up are:
    Ofa out - Lawrie in
    Mahoney out - Friend in

    Thoughts & thanks.

I dont mind the Mahoney to Friend trade although Mahoney still has money to make. Not sure about trading out Ofa especially if both Lawrie and Sele go back to the bench next week.

Add to that, he's never started (prior to last week) and never played more than 33 minutes. I'd discount that .77 career ppm by a little bit if you were extrapolating beyond 30 minutes or so.

Where do you get the "Most Likely" from? Parra's feeder team played a 5/8 at hooker last week. I am of the believe they signed McIllwrick for the sole purpose of depth in the team (ie. plays for wentworthville until/if injury occurs)

i know he didn't play last weekend with injury, other than that sounds like he's likely to be a regular in the 17

Tpo on my part.  Bateman would be 17th man (and that's only because he'd be directly replacing Holland who is currently in 17, Bateman wouldn't be the 17th best player in my team)

if I don't get Bateman then I'll have to play Keighran or Holland

if Will Smith is out for a while then McIlwrick could well get a run in first grade (unless they think Salmon can do that role)
