Half the NRL are coming back from some sort of surgery. Bateman was coming off an injury and played 80. If they lose again this week, watch the 3 rooster fans blow up and go back to AFL.

hey! im a Roosters fan lol... and who the fk watches AFL?

I trust Trent knows what he is doing... if He is only playing 20mins there is a good reason for it.

Garner and Keighran for me I think (definitely Garner anyway). Bit of a toss up between Brown and Keighran.

    Yes why would anyone lie.

Maybe next time say Catfish said this, so we know it's pure speculation.
In fairness to Mike, that’s exactly what he said he would do for next time.

I guess I will wait till late on to see if IPap gets the nod instead of him. Although every chance he could hold his spot if IPap gets the starting nod and a potential move for Blair to the front row.

Warriors do like a no frills lock. So Burr could potentially hold his spot.

I'm putting Keighran and Burr at 17 and 18 and will choose after final teamlists. Brown vs Dogs > Keighran this week.

I have the same problem with a choice of two of Bird, Lawrie and Bateman. Only two, but I want more. Tricky decisions, but this is what makes this so addictive and heart wrenching/frustrating at the same time. I can link NRLF to golf, great to get out on the weekend and enjoy the game, but sometimes you come home and say 'what the fuck happened' or 'why do I even bother'..... then you go back out there and do it again.

Assuming Sele is gtg he was scoring at nearly 1 point per minute before he got injured. If he starts at lock he'll get 45-50 mins & his score will match his minutes.

I am playing Dylan brown over Keighran this week.

18th man will be Bateman if I trade him in
    Otherwise Holland/Keighran at 17

I've seen this posted quite a bit - the point per minute thing for Sele. The trouble is he only played 17 minutes. I have no stats for this but Im almost certain for forwards that they get disproportionately high PPM at the beginning of their stints and then things taper out. To project Seles scoring based on the first 17 minutes of his game is problematic IMO.

As an example, got checkout the timeline for Napa's scoring last week. I believe he was on about 20 with less than 20 minutes played - we all know how that ended up.....

You are seriously considering bringing Bateman in and not playing him? Thats an expensive cash cow.

White Lightning wrote:Would you upgrade Mahoney to Friend. With Salmon on the bench he will spell Mahoney & to hit 40's Mahoney has to play 80 mins. I did start with Mahoney hoping for 80 mins but it looks like this won't happen for a while & Mahoney did look like he was struggling in the 2nd half & needed a rest so he doesn't look ready for 80 mins just yet. Without the try he would of scored mid 30's & Friend will knock out at least 60's plus Friend is up against Manly so some attacking stats are a very good possibility for Friend. The trades I'm weighing up are:
    Ofa out - Lawrie in
    Mahoney out - Friend in

    Thoughts & thanks.
Seems like a case of last weeks points to me. I can't remember the last time Friend had so many attacking points in him, was it an outlier or is he going to scoot more this year?

True. Sele did look like he could keep it up for a bit longer though.
