Yea just re-addressed. Extra 15 minutes in the middle can amount to a fair amount of points, same ideal though, Gilletts minutes bit up in the air in new role, Twal looks more set.

Both have shown ability early to score well. Just reversal of scores R1 to R2

I agree with it being sideways if it was 2RF for 2RF. In my case it fills a potential weak spot in the team

Twal has played 49 and 54 mins in the opening two games.

Interesting to note that when Twal has played 49 mins or more in the past (admittedly only on 4 occasions), he has averaged an underwhelming 43.

His PPM from 30 games in 2017 & 2018 was 1.05. Technically at 49 mins and this PPM, he should be scoring 51/52 ppg.

It's easy to ignore, but everyone should realise that most players PPM will gradually dilute as the mins increase.

Twal is a wait and see for me, on this basis.

Listening to Mary on NRL360, he seems to have a lot of excuses and blaming the lack of go forward as the issue to their performances. The one thing I got out of it, or I read too much into, was that he was saying they had lost a lot of experience and power with the loss of JDB, Firz and Sims. He mentioned Sims quite a few times for my liking, even talking like he's a player that's been missing. He kind of glossed over the fact that he hasn't even played a game and has no part of their lack of strength in the middle.

He also said the spine shuffle is again due to the lack of forward power which all results around getting a good defender in the number 13, ie McInnes. Seemed a bit strange all round by my point is, is that with him saying Sims missing is as important as JDB and Friz, I'm fully expecting for him to start at lock with Lawrie back to the bench. I hope I'm reading too much into it though.

Understand the chasing points sentiment but for me I think moving Macca to Twal is a smart option this week.

Macca has hit 50 and 53 in 80minutes each including 1 try. Owners were hoping he would improve a little this year potentially with more kicking. Looks he will keep hitting this average and stay at exactly the same price. Also is not a HOK keeper.

Twal (who many were hoping could jump to gun level pre-season) is looking to get the minutes. Has the best tackle percentage in the League. Potentially his score was down in Rd1 game v Manly as Tigers dominated and he didn't get to tackle as much.

Twal can be brought in for Macca for similar (if not greater) scores for $142k saving in the currently tricky FRF spot. I feel this is a risk worth taking for a potential FRF Gun and gives me cash for Bird (or others to get the last mid-range cow they don't have).

Expecting his PM to drop a bit and be dictated by game flow etc

But he has at least shown the ability to be at the very least extremley dependable in his scoring (low score when playing 40+ minutes is 35)

Look to be the No.1 prop option with the Tigers this season, plus some players just elevate. Main example here being Easy E last year.

Twal isn't a must trade in but in the conversation to play well above his average this season in the tricky FR position. I feel like If I miss him he will queitly go around averaging 48-50 and make me regret jumping on now

i wouldn't be dumping Macca for him, only 2 rounds in and Macca has had almost zero attacking involvement, that will come in some rounds, others not. Full confidence still in Macca going over 52 minimum this year
