Yea just re-addressed. Extra 15 minutes in the middle can amount to a fair amount of points, same ideal though, Gilletts minutes bit up in the air in new role, Twal looks more set.mattnz wrote:
Gillett didnt get 80, was 69 minutes round 1

Where can I get the breakevens lads <3

Gillett scores 60 & 32, and becomes a trade out. Twal scores 35 & 62, and becomes a trade in? Reckon that's the definition of sideways.

Interesting to note that when Twal has played 49 mins or more in the past (admittedly only on 4 occasions), he has averaged an underwhelming 43.
His PPM from 30 games in 2017 & 2018 was 1.05. Technically at 49 mins and this PPM, he should be scoring 51/52 ppg.
It's easy to ignore, but everyone should realise that most players PPM will gradually dilute as the mins increase.
Twal is a wait and see for me, on this basis.

Understand the chasing points sentiment but for me I think moving Macca to Twal is a smart option this week.
Macca has hit 50 and 53 in 80minutes each including 1 try. Owners were hoping he would improve a little this year potentially with more kicking. Looks he will keep hitting this average and stay at exactly the same price. Also is not a HOK keeper.
Twal (who many were hoping could jump to gun level pre-season) is looking to get the minutes. Has the best tackle percentage in the League. Potentially his score was down in Rd1 game v Manly as Tigers dominated and he didn't get to tackle as much.
Twal can be brought in for Macca for similar (if not greater) scores for $142k saving in the currently tricky FRF spot. I feel this is a risk worth taking for a potential FRF Gun and gives me cash for Bird (or others to get the last mid-range cow they don't have).
