I think Twal or Taukeiaho are better value at a cheaper price and (potentially) 1 more game.

Taukeiaho is my tentative trade in for Tolman this week

Like that trade especially with JWH out. Twal will be in my top 17 due to lack of trades and consistency

I may take a punt on someone like Finucane who is cheap for ~50 average and plays 16, the extra bit of cash might allow me to turn Twal into a McInnes last few weeks of season

Best case scenario for morgan is kahu returns, pushing morgan to 7 and bumping clifford

wouldn't mind it if he came home, Shiba has been unspectacular thus far.

It's nearly 1 in the morning but I don't have to get up early. You know what that means? Plenty of time to spend unnecessarily perusing my potential trades for the week.

Why spend so much time and effort on something with ultimately no reward. Why do anything at all really?

I suppose the early hours of the morning are the best time to have existential ponders while I'm deciding if I should trade CNK out this week to avoid the possibility of him dropping more cash which affects future trades.

Looking at RFM, Twal, K. Brom, V. Kikau.. I could also grab someone like Kenny/Watson but feel for my team depth the other options are better albeit less appealing.

Not liking what I’ve seen since Niko came in

Certainly wouldn’t be dumping CNK for him as originally planned

Not a fan of RFM or Kikau. They were round 12 shortlist. Don’t see the point. Rather go a 212k instead of Kenny if it means a gun (Matterson)

See I have got RTS on my trade in now but that makes me doubt it as does a score of 25. I also have 350k to use on Dearden. So really not sure where to go. If I don't go to RTS or T. Trbojevic I need another HLF.

You wouldn't be playing Verills right? I'm thinking you mean trade him in now as a cash out hoping he plays round 16 for some points. But poor/no job security for any other round and so will be a red dot. Which as I say isn't necessarily a problem if you have the rest sorted/covered, most will ultimately have a red dot or two in their final 21.
    Thanks for the reply.

Watson I am strongly considering. But again depends on what you want from him. Quite the risk. Over these bye rounds I want the cover of HLF/WFB, maybe the option to play him in my 17 for some of these rounds, a possible 18th man candidate long term if he gets a full-time role when the likes of Levi/Griffin etc return and ultimately because of his low BE, might make enough cash to upgrade to a better 18th man. But we don't know how he'll really go at hooker for the Knights, how many minutes, how many weeks and if he ultimately ends up on the bench as a utility. I'm leaning towards taking the punt, but one might perhaps need an exit strategy.
Well I need WFB cover from somebody since I'm trading out Sivo and CNK. Tedesco is very likely to miss a couple games in the future and I don't want to play with 16 players. That means that I have to get To'o or Watson. To'o doesn't play round 16 and Watson is likely to outscore him by around 20-25 points.

I could get Watson this week and Verrills next week because they have the same BE's so Watson will make more money this week. And I'm not sure whether Watson will make enough cash to be a worthwhile trade-in if it's not this week.

What are people thinking about cashouts?

Are people grabbing someone that isn't playing this round but should play during R16 and then disappear but then may not even play at all (Kerr, Moga) or spend little bit more around 10-20k and get someone playing this week and should play R16 (Carrigan 226k bench FRF for Broncos and Hutchison for next 3-4 weeks potentially playing 5/8 )

You got Lord Dale don't you fella? How's he been?

averaging 49 minus his injury game, unders on keeper 2RF, not sure he if worth the trade in just for R16

I grabbed him this week mate. Average a touch under 50 without the injury. Floor and ceiling both seem up on previous years. Grabbing him with the intention of trading him out after round 16 but he is good enough to stick around as 18th man while rounding out the 17 until I get to the final 17

Feels like ending this week with 8 trades is a bit suicidal.

Might just save my cashout for RD16 as well.

I posted this last thread for people considering Tohu Harris (maybe @chewie) but its been confirmed, he's carrying a knee injury. He has made himself unavailable for the Kiwis and outside of match day, he's only been full contact in the Captains run each week for some time.

You can see the toll its taking on his fantasy output via run meters for example.
