There is not a single low score involved to give him any sort of discount. Will be such better value elsewhere.

At least Cook has a few low scores around origin to keep his average down.

I didn't start with Taumalolo or Cook this year but ended up having both by round 8 or 9 (whenever Lolo came back from injury). Haas will keep doing his thing next year, I don't see why he wouldn't. It's going to be a tough call whether to start with him or not I reckon. A guaranteed 60 every week is hard to pass up.

I do not think its in the Warriors best interests to be playing Jazz for the kind of minutes that made him a great pick in fantasy to end this season.

Kearney has said now that he wants to change the way Jazz plays. He realises he's a small guy in a role usually played by guys 15-20kg heavier and it's not sustainable for his body to keep playing how he is. What that means remains to be seen.

I think next year I'll stack my frf & go mid range in the 2fr just because I didn't think the 2fr guns did much this year. For me a frf of Haas & A. Fifita would be awesome. Some lower priced 2fr's like N. Brown, Sironen, Garner, Su'a, Ford & Stimson could be my 2fr. I think in my hlfs Cleary is 1st picked with no Maloney & Flanagan at the Roosters will go well, Luai will start with no Maloney. My wfb's will be hard to pick. Tedesco 1st picked, Ponga & Turbo will be cheap, Papenhuysen will be a gun. I liked Milford at f/b, C. Walker always starts the season on fire, a guy like B. Best is dpp which is handy. I forgot hookers which will have many great options...I've gone off Cook this year because Bennett has coached out his impulse. Imo C. Smith has reclaimed to top fantasy hooker mantle. I will get McInnes over Cook & Cook won't be in my team. Fainu's going to hard to leave out, maybe even Koroisau, then you have some young gun hookers like B, Brailey, Liddle & R, Robson depending on their roles.

It is the same as Cook. Everyone was moving mountains to start him this year at around the same price for a set and forget captain. Haas will just be the same. A solid 60 captain score week in and week out is pretty good to me. Although Cook can also do this and will be at cheaper pricing next year.

I think I'd prefer Haas over Cook to start 2020. Obviously this is just "right now" thinking.

Should be some good value in hooker position. FRF typically harder to fill so just getting a 'set and forget' Haas for one of those spots sounds good.

Cleary is another I will almost very likely start with.

On averages, can we just all take a step back and appreciate Cam Smith for overtaking Cook as the premium Hooker again. Couldn't quite grab top dog but he just looks so cocky sitting there now knowing he is the best Hooker in the fantasy game again.

McInnes says hello. Without his concussion affected game he would have finished the season averaging 65.4

I'm unsure on Fifita. Morris fucked with minutes a lot this year, I'd have to see how the pre-season progresses and if Fifita is 100% heading into the season to pick him.

I started the season with Lane, Sironen and Garner, it didn't really go that well.

Haas is the no. 1 averaging player. Have we ever seen a frf 1st it's usually hookers like CS9 so it's a phenominal effort by the big man. Because of this everyone will start with Haas & his ownership will be so high then tactically you'll have to pick him because most will captain him & if he goes large with double points then if you don't own him then it's a big slide down the rankings.

I think I'm probably going to start with Haas in the end

In the beginning of the year, having Cook set and forget captain worked really well (I went away from Cook once before Origin and then he promptly outscored Fifita that round). After Origin my captains went to shit several times and if I just stuck with the big guns (Cook, Haas) instead of trying to be different when I didn't need to be I would have finished higher

Very good point the fact that McInnes has less strings to his bow than Smith or Cook makes his 65.4 average even more impressive & probably 95% of that average is tackling but I've noticed this year he's starting to develop his running game. He reminds me of the legend Fensom when he was at the Raiders. All he did was tackle because at that time the Raiders were an average team & did a lot of defense. The same applies to McInnes at the Dragons. I actually believe in 2020 McInnes will become the top fantasy hooker. He probably was this year but injury struck so next year imo it will happen.

Jeez. I keep forgetting all these guys who are very likely to get decent roles next year. If Blake Brailey starts he is probably into the 21 as well.

Something has to give with the Broncos halves too.. Dearden will be pretty damn cheap and probably the 7.. who will be 6 though.. ? Bird? Dearden should take on plenty of kick metres next year.

Yep, he certainly improved that side of his game this season. He can grab a few tackle breaks too, he's a pretty good runner of the ball honestly.

Great season all! Thanks for the banter and advice over the year. Hopefully my input throughout the year was semi valid. Ended up finishing just outside the top 1000 after a horror few last rounds, although was fortunate enough to win a league filled with my mates, earning a few six packs. How Good. Good luck to all who have teams in the finals! Remember up the mighty green-machine! Until next year.

Turns out I won both the Rogues and Renegades league. So I have decided to give them a villain. Its what they all secretly crave over there anyway.

But I will always be a sweetheart here. Thanks for the great season guys, to all the mods who organise leagues and all the posters who make talking fantasy so enjoyable

playing this game just wouldn't be the same without you all Love Love Love
