One player I have my eye on for next year is Ryan James. Thinking he can come back to average 50+.

Went through the teams and I can't actually find many teams without depth in most areas for next year.

Zac Lomax 6 year deal with the Dragons. Seems weird with the way he was messed around last year, and seemingly was going to leave. 6 years is too much for an unproven player.. were they really competing that hard with other clubs for his signature?
Anyway, you'd think he gets a good stint at FB and will kick goals.

Dragons recruitment: You're the best player in this entire organization and if there's anything at all outside of your contract details that we can do to ensure you are a Dragon for life, all you have to do is ask.
Jess Sergis: well actually, there is one thing...

Don't mind Denan Kemp. The NRL players tend to really take a liking to him (being an ex player) and he never reports shit. Everything he reports/says has some merit behind it and the players actually talk to him because he isn't a shit starter. Good read on Milford below. Might be one of my first buys in the halves if he plays fullback.

Milford cops a lot of shit and that's understandable given his price tag, but if Croft can do the job at 7 and Turpin continues to improve at 9 then Milford is going to have a great season. Our spine last season was a basketcase.
No way he is playing fullback in 2020. His best position is 6 imo. But we can't expect him to play 7, 6, and 1 all at the same time.

Their spine will definitely improve with an out and out 7 like Croft in the side. What is the share in kicking though because Milford is a pretty prolific kicker and Croft has had his kicking games, but they were mainly overshadowed by Smith and Munster kicking.

I'm tossing up whether I move your shit Broncos talk to the Broncos thread so people don't have to read this dribble, but part of me thinks the dribble is based on pure fantasy which would make it a perfect fit here.

Reading the above re Milford made me want him in my team but he's 821k which is too expensive especially when guys like Ponga 740k, Wighton 707k & Turbo 702k are much cheaper.

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Off Season (86)
Do people reckon any of the new rule changes will have much of an impact or be implemented into fantasy point scoring
The ones impacting fantasy most likely would be the 20-40 rule and making airborne contact illegal for both attackers & defenders. Could see some wingers become slightly more fantasy relevant perhaps

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Off Season (86)
I think it's actually the 20-40 rule that will have the most impact to wingers & centres. The whole idea is to reduce the number of players in the defensive line and open up the attack. Teams will have to drop an extra player back to cover each side of the field. Teams with shit defensive centres will be in trouble.

I concur, although I feel with this rule NRL will start looking like an amateurs game of Rugby.
I kind of dont understand the point of the Scrum rule. Teams are already implementing set plays off scrums no matter what side of the field. I guess if the games tied at 10 a piece and a team has a chance at taking the scrum from the middle of the field in front of the sticks to kick a field goal they'll take that option??

Captains challenge apparently implemented based on fan survey.
I am a fan, and as a fan I have to say, most of us are fucking idiots. It’s not going to add much except stoppages and controversy to sell papers.

Apparently they are still debating it though. I personally think it will slow the game down immensely. We already have to wait a life time on video ref with every single try. We have to stop when a player goes down. This will just slow it down even more and probably create even more controversy. Play the game in real time!!!

according to Siebs, first crack at FB is Isaako's with Milf/Croft at 6 & 7. Without looking at prices, Isaako interests me, if he kicks on he could be a fantasy scorer in the RTS mould, running metres and TBs galore

With all the BS in the media around Latrell, I thought that interview on NRL.com was quite good. Sounds like all the crap out there was getting to him.
