If he starts, then I will probably put him at CTR, although he isn't a terribly exciting selection.

Who knows what Dean Pay will do though as the best half in the club is Brandon Wakeham but Pay seems determined to play Lewis. I think ill have Wakeham as an NPR from the start of the season, shouldnt take long for him to get a run

Panthers would have been better with a cardboard cutout of Sione Katoa, he would have been more serviceable then. Do you not recall the Panthers being down by 1 point and Katoa trying to kick a field goal out of dummy half, literally straight of the pick up. I think it was just a depth buy by Dean Pay. JMK will be the main striker and will see close to 80 minutes.

As mentioned yesterday, Panthers even found a loop hole to keep Katoa as a 2RF under the NRL's books just so they could get Kenny to play.

    I'm not worried about Katoa

This! I have a sneaky suspicion that Capewell will take Naden's spot at CTR. Kevvy is looking at Capewell to fill his CTR void at QLD, so who knows, he might even be requesting to play CTR.

Katoa is not a first grade quality 9 pure and simple. Penrith named him as a lock forward so they could play a development player(Kenny) at hooker

If they are getting the expected minutes, they are at keeper level for the position.

There's a reason why all these guys are 'undervalued' and its largely because of injury. On the other hand, the majority of the so called 'value' 2RFs are all because of supposed role changes. In toherwords there is an increased level of risk you are taking on IMO with those kinds of guys.

Sorry bro, I cant help my self. You talk a massive game at the start of every season, and then you disappear off the fact of the earth once your team craps out. I like how you take alternative approaches, but when you start to talk up how good youve been??? mmmm There are some guys in here that have actually done well year in year out... and perhaps not surprisingly they never talk themselves up Smile

Just on this, what’s the main reason Brailey of the J variety has never been mentioned? Is it because of Watson or even Mann possibly taking minutes? With Levi going surely there’s a chance for 80min, at a pretty good price too?

There is some value in JBrailey, but only if he plays 80.

Even then, he is more expensive than all the other cheap hookers around who could go close to his scores. if something happens to all the other hookers during pre-season he'll be back on the radar, but for now I prefer Koro, BBrailey, Grant

Those South Sydney fans, can you give me your view on the pros and cons of Lowe and Sua. Seems there's plenty if minutes up for grabs in the pack this year, but have no idea why I would choose one or the other.

I feel the same way, is it because we are Broncos fans and have had it ingrained in us that Su'A is a good player?

I saw on FoxSport that they believe JMK is injured

See Su'a is the one that worries me. I had him during his brief stint playing a few games for the Broncos and he seemed to go very quiet at times. I see Lowe as the better player. Has scored well previously and looks a bit rejuvenated at the Bunnies. I think he has his chance and he isn't letting it go. Plus all I see is his last minute heroics that nearly won QLD the series last year.

PS: Aren't they both right edge back rowers?

"UPDATE: Adam Doueihi is on the verge of agreeing to a four-year deal worth up to $2.5 million with the Wests Tigers."

Outrageous deal if those numbers are true.
