NRL.com very disappointing this year. I remember last year they had all the trials and coverage listed on their main site weeks in advance. Not much on there yet this year, although there is a 5 minute video that I haven't watched. Both Tigers games will be streamed through the Tigers page Very Happy

Disappointing Fox is only showing that game. Of all games too. Pretty sure they only play 1 trial game every pre season and it's always the fucking Warriors.

Thoughts on my team? I'm praying that Aekins starts for Penrith and Saab starts for the Dragons.

I reckon pretty nice reading until I got to Saab, you'll need a better cheapie to play in your 17, if one doesn't pop up you need a major overhaul, Luai is borderline as it is. I like the picks generally. I prefer Moses vs Cleary and Brimson vs Croft, but tomato/tomato.

Yeah fair enough on Saab. My logic with him is that I'd rather have a cheapie that can make money quickly and then be sold rather than a slow burner where possible. With the rule changes around aerial contests, I think Saab has a big advantage if he gets picked. I really don't see any better cheapies at his price point, as I already have enough slow burner forwards on my bench, I don't need another one.

It might have been Rhinoceroo who coined the phrase a few weeks ago, not sure, but 'Trapine' sums him up. Between the bench and his injury record I could never pick him personally mate.

I don't think it was me. He's a tempting selection but then you go to mtvb's page and bar a couple of outlier games the reading is not good.

A good rookie wfb always shows up in the first tlt. If Lele is named round 1 he is much better for fantasy than Saab.

How nailed on is Mann for that second knights HB spot?

Duking it out with Lino, apparently. Also of interest because Lino in the team is bad for Ponga (think he's in your draft, he's currently in mine too). What with the GKs and probably some KMs taken away it could be worth 10 points off a game.

I'm not worried losing KM as such mate, Pearce would hog regardless. Conversions only real worry. Switch to TTurbo if I get cold feet before season

The KMs isn't the biggest of deals but I'd see Ponga as the second kicking option if Mann is there but Lino would be if he isn't. Add that to the conversions and it's significamt. I have both Ponga and Mann in current draft so just that one detail on TLT could lead to a complete rewrite.

Moga being rested for Knights trial v Saints. Apparently due to Best injury. So, that means he's either nailed in at centre, or, they're so worried about how broken he is, it's only a matter of weeks before he gets busted again....might be time to look elsewhere for a cheap starting centre.

This article confirms what we all expected, that carrigan will be starting at lock, tpj in front row, which leaves Fifita free to claim big minutes in 2nd row. The interesting thing for me is that offa isn’t mentioned at all in prop depth when they discuss it. Would expect big minutes for carrigan in offa’s absence. https://www.nrl.com/news/2020/02/20/lodge-played-with-partial-acl-tear-since-2015-seibold/

Ofa is one of the best bench players in the comp, it would be crazy to move him when you have a capable replacement.

One thing I have noticed from a football perspective is that most coaches treat their bench like it is purely for back ups, being something they have to use, not want to use. The exception to this seems to be Robinson, Bellamy and Seibold who all use their bench like a weapon. In a fully fit team Robinson will rotate his pack and have Liu at times replace Tauk, Radley and even JWH as a starter. Being able to bring on a bench of Crichton, Radley and Butcher can blow a team wide open through the middle of the park

Bellamy does this with Brandon Smith and NAS. Seibold with Ofa, TPJ and even Fifita last year
