Yeah agree! We remember the Edwards & Hollands but find it hard to acknowledge the good ones that the group think-tank supports.

Besides after 20 pages of discussing the upsides of Haas, Papen, Lolo and then choosing AFifita, TTrbo, NBrown on gut feel doesn't feel right to me.

Number in brackets was rank of player in popularity.

    Cook (20)
    Vaughan (88) Tolman (70)
    Arrow (46) Murray (13) Lane (100)
    Morgan (14) Keighran (2)
    Capewell (31) Holland (111)
    Burns (79) Ravalawa (5) Sivo (22)

    McCullough (45) Friend (54) Mahoney (49) Garner (27)

    Nikora (3)  Brown (1) Garrick (12) Simonsson (51)

His biggest POD was Kerrod Holland, who wasn't a POD on this site (same goes for Burns too). Most of his players were just regular picks. Lane and Vaughan were the closest to POD status, but it was pretty much a cookie cutter forum team.

Actually I didn't go with that in the end haha, Was kinda in between going all in or not with more gun hookers and less overall cover prior to lockout (which mine was still cookie cutter when I sent to you).
Made a gut call and the rest is history I guess.

Team looked like this in the first page:
    https://www.nrlfantasyfanatics.com/t783-trials-and-tribulations-of-a-nrl-fantasy-coach-2019-end-result-40th

    Cook
    Tolman Napa
    Arrow Murray Garner
    Morgan Keighran
    Capewell Nikora
    Burns Sivo Ravalawa

    Smith Friend McCullough Mahoney

    Kahu Brown Host Garrick

    ______________________
The changes I sent to you but off memory I decided to play Nikora in the Ctr's full time with less cover (Instead of a mid ranger like Holland) and free up some cash
Gamble on Napa over Vaughan to make $$$ and free up some cash
And turn a mid ranger in lane into another hooker in Smith

I wouldn't recommend it due to there being so much value in the 2rf position. Assuming you have a gun half aswell I wouldn't go Lolo. I originally had Haas, Lolo and Moses in my team but then guys like Hess, Carty Party, Leilua all got named to start in the trials which is really promising. It all depends on TLT as always to see where the best value is but at the moment I would recommend not going Taumalolo (just my opinion) Smile[/quote

At the moment I have all of those value second rower guys on top of Haas Lolo and cleary

Takeaways from starting like that was if a gun gets injured there is plenty of options to replace in basically any position
And NPR 18-21 'cover' was overrated, I bought Kahu/Garrick to help give me options for Ravalawa/Sivo and Host due to his DPP.

Are you trying something similar this year mate? Going stacking one position that others are avoiding? I've made a team with stacked halves that I quite like

Horsburgh is not expected to start. As someone mentioned Soliola is expected to start at Lock.

Haven't really had a proper look to be honest, waiting until TLT really and will build from there with the usual rookie up strat.
The cheap players and quality/quantity are what dictate how you can really build your team, everything else prior to this is just 'fun'

Also don't think I can commit full time to a repeat Tribulations thread at this stage either as just too busy, but will see what happens

Yes its a predicted line up. Whoever did this seems to be more clued in than the fox sports one.

Edit: Checked last years predicted line up for Raiders & NRL.com had got CNK, John Bateman, Simonsson all wrong so yeah can ignore this one Smile

    Hey Fellas,
Thoughts on Fusitua as a POD? Read the recent article about his change to centre and thinking he might make a bit of quick cash playing outside Tohu and with a few extra tackles the centre position requires over wing.

That was me, but I do think it is still probably a coinflip with Sutton. Soli not getting any younger

Still leads us back to the point that is Tapine on an edge, where he scores much better Cool

Guess what guys, there’s no hard and fast way to win fantasy. Stop looking for that template and just make some informed decisions and keeps the fingers crossed

Papi, yes. Aekins seems unavoidable to have for short-term cash generation but I'd rather have him 18-21.

Brimson & Drink I dunno. Avoided Holland & Edwards last year and those are the groupthink vibes. Looking to free up more money for Turbo/Ponga or else consider Hughes, Fergo maybe DWZ.

I've been mulling over this over the last few days and I tend to agree. I don't like the look of it either.

Not sure how I'll approach it yet. I don't like looking at Brimson in my team, even though "on paper", he looks like a solid pick. I'm a bit out of the loop on how long Aekins should get at FB. I'm inclined to go as cheap as possible, within reason.

    Welcome!

Fusi last played centre 3 years back without much fantasy output. Yes its a different team but I will be reluctant to put any faith in this Warriors back line.

Having said that, since there is a dearth of cheap centre alternatives, if you have a gut feeling then go for it.
