I mean Britt has a BE of 37 so even if he scores 50 this coming round then he’s still gonna be affordable and not much price difference come round 4.

According to me Britt is priced at around 33 and playing 70-80mins he should very well average 45.

With a few great rookies popping up, thinking I'll try to avoid trading in mid-rangers and play guns and rookies for the rest of the season.

I think it's more the possibility of more attacking stats, creating bigger scores... however I am with you in the fact we can't predict that far ahead when the season has been out for like 2 months.

I get the theory, but it just doesn’t hold.

D Fifita 2nd half last year from R13, when he regularly started.

65+ vs: Rabbitohs, Eels, Cowboys, Bulldogs (twice)
Sub-40 scores vs: Titans, Storm, Panthers, Knights

Storm is an outlier, but I’d suggest all the other teams on the worst score group are on paper easy opponents in 2019.

Why on earth would the Warriors start Murchie?

Clubs don't put every reserve grader they sign straight into first grade

Fiona doesn’t want another disgruntled mob. Regardless of position if Fogarty and Grant are named on TLT they are coming in. Makes the other two trades interesting though

RFM still exists and could take time off Britt

Even if he did average 45 he wouldn't rise that much in price early on and would still require a trade down the line.

    Speaking of re-asking questions.

How do people think coaches will handle not having match fit reserve graders to call on? Will we see more rotation then usual to make sure that everyone in their squad is getting game time.

If teams use the same 17 every week, could hurt them if they get a couple of injuries in the lead up to finals.

Might be tough early on but the restrictions will ease again in a few weeks I think?

They'll probably run opposed sessions with "match conditions" among the extended squad of non first graders.. when is Q Cup/NSW Cup going to start up?

Looking at the full draw, Xerri looks like a serious option, but I'm taking the advice to get a gun half, and by gun half, I mean huge POD Anthony Milford. In the statistical analysis I did last night, he ranked very highly for consistency, while he still has huge upside and most importantly, hasn't lost his base of kick metres, even with Croft there.

Love the idea of picking Milford.

I'm still wary of his kicking metres. It's only a one game sample.

Yep. Second game Croft only played 4 minutes.

It’s a tricky one, I don’t know how you balance winning games versus keeping players match ready for emergencies. I can’t see teams resting spine players but I also can’t see them wanted to throw guys in after 15 weeks of training only.

Maybe we see more rotation of benches, including more frequent use of utility and outside backs at 14-17, just to get some game time for everyone without risking too much?

I also read something where either the Dragons or Sharks coach was suggesting the two play 9s games against each other for squad players not in the top 19 or so each week. If possible.

Along those lines, maybe teams could pair up for the occasional competitive opposed training session or informal trial match as restrictions ease further.

EDIT: I’m assuming restrictions wont ease we fast enough to get lower grades, obviously that would solve the problems

My boss is the med officer for the Blackhawks and he hasn't even heard anything about training restarting.

I'm thinking there will be two schools of thought - coaches rotating a few fringe players in and out of 17s as you've suggested.
Coaches who will stick to their 17 as much as possible and replace starters from within the 17 and players coming in playing lower minutes from the bench

    Just my thoughts.

It's all very nice for coaches to talk about rotating players but when push comes to shove and you're not the Storm leading the comp by 6 pts, you're going to keep naming your strongest team each week because teams don't want to drop games.
