Yep. Second game Croft only played 4 minutes.

True, but the first game looked pretty promising. Croft wasn't the dominant kicker at Melbourne either, Munster kicked a lot there, plus Cam Smith as well. Milf looks like he's got his shit together this year, and with Croft there, he can run the ball more and rack up those attacking stats.

Hopefully the hybrid reserve grade idea becomes a thing.

I'm not logging back into my team until next Tuesday night and not really thinking of options yet but damn this is getting exciting. To have footy back and 2020 fantasy just fills me black little heart with joy. Bring it on.

The funny thing is, with the change in schedule, I think it brings up so many good options that may never have been looked at before. Even ones getting mentioned now, Milf, Croft, Xerri, RFM/Britt, just all potentially good options.

Although, if for some reason RFM secured a starting role (which looking unlikely), I'd love to punt on him. Although, like Matt, I think cows and guns is going to be the best strategy for the remainder of this season.

I don't think key players will get rested, but my concern is more some of the fringe players people are hoping to use as cash cows

Looks like July 18 is planned restart date for NSWRL comps
    https://www.nswrl.com.au/news/2020/04/22/covid-19-update-community-football-and-major-competitions/

But as we've seen for other things, this can change at the drop of a hat, and if NRL manages to restart successfully then they might bring it forward

Walker cleared of charges, interested to see what NRL do now. https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/rabbitohs-star-playmaker-reportedly-being-blackmailed-over-a-video/news-story/20e08a464c7a8b92a9a7b8fdcd018356

Walker says he advised Souths when the incident happened, wonder if there will be any repercussions for Souths if they didn't advise the NRL integrity unit when it happened.

Quite like DCE and Turbo from mid season for the run home.

From round 13 - Warriors, Knights, Rabbitohs, Storm, Tigers, Bulldogs, Titans, Warriors.

I'm leaning that way now. Happy just picking up 3 great value cows, (Grant, Fogarty, possibly Magoulias, or another cheapie that pops up at TLT), and a replacement for Kennedy like Isaako. Should allow me to get rid of Musgrove as well.

If Watson gets great minutes, can look at trading him in next round, but not seeing others that I really need to bring in. Try to keep down to just 2 trades for round 4 as well, with Fifita and Cleary already in the team when they return, so won't be wasting trades then either.

Saw Kenty saying on the TV that he did tell Souths and Wayne didn't let the integrity unit know. This apparently wouldn't have been an issue now if Wayne followed protocol and let them know at the time Walker advised them last year when it happened. Kent reckons Wayne may even get a fine personally.

I think it just depends what options come up on TLT. If I can get two cows and get Tolo and hold Fifita, I'd be tempted, but I'm in the mindset of tossing him for Tolo. All depends on TLT.

No. Will probably look at bringing Watson in. Too early in season and the season is too short to hold players for 3-4 weeks.
He will be an upgrade target for 2 of the likes of Rudolph/Guler/JTB/Flegler in 3-4 weeks time.

Since may 28 feels like the start of a new season, any bold calls?

I reckon Bennett will not be the Souths coach by end of the year (calendar year)

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. I unfortunately don't see us making the 8.

Gonna suck it and see for a week at least (unless TLT forces my hand).

Was all gung ho about holding yesterday (didn't see any glaring value in FRF/2RF*) but MTB put up some interesting points which have been food for thought. I am working out a few different scenarios but if he goes I want a keeper.

*Twal - Showing promise but unconvinced he is top tier in the longer term
*Watson - I want to see the mins for a week
*All other top tier guys are dropping cash

There is an opportunity cost to holding for a week but I want to be sure I not setting myself up for multiple trades down the track.

What is more important with the shortened season. Cash Generation or Saving Trades?

Without Origin and Byes it's probably cash generation (usually you might save some trades for those periods to try and get a leg up). It's a bit of a sprint so as long as you leave a few for injuries, rotation etc you just need to get to your final team as quick as you can.
