Imagine what I could do with all that sweet $$ if I didn't have an internal bias against Yeo

Cheers mate I had to think really deeply!Mulvy wrote:

You know when you keep staring at the screen like your missing something but you can’t put your finger on what it is!! Some of you guys on here are so elite you only take seconds to come up with this whereas it can take me a day or 2 to see the obvious in front of my face......

When I say I’m done most of the time I’m probs not ahahahahaha. Only took about 80 changes to get to this point.
I’m sure there will be many more changing tomorrow and staring at the screen thinking how the fuck did I miss that move!
I can now enjoy tomorrow!

I don’t think it’s sideways mate. I really like the move especially with Morgan out. Drinky probs isn’t a keeper but could definitely make you 150-170k no issues which justifies a trade.wolfking wrote:
I got Drinkwater in this week too mate. Feels like a trade that's just that, rectifying an error and feels a bit sideways, but I think he'll be close to a must have and borderline keeper if injuries hit elsewhere.

I just have zero confidence in that Panthers rotation and how it’ll work.Aardvark wrote:Imagine what I could do with all that sweet $$ if I didn't have an internal bias against Yeo
Flip a coin and take a guess is all I can say. I’m staying clear of Yeo and Capewell.
For those looking for a mid ranger I reckon Britt at 487k will play minimum 70mins probs 80mins. RFM will be part of the middle 3 rotation off the bench like he was the first two weeks.
Britt is a busy player too who could score an average of mid to high 40’s. Always very busy in his games at Souths was Britt. He loves getting his hands dirty and into it.
If Britt scores a 50-55 this week and Williams shits it up again this week I may very well look to make a POD move and bring in Britt next week. He defs has the potential to make around 175-200k.

I can't keep up and do I need to block another rabbit? Kind of kidding there, kind of.

Trade out Fifita.
Hold Ponga, Aubusson, Cleary
Grant is your first trade in.
If you need a centre, get Kurt Capewell
Other cashouts are Jamil Hopoate (limited job security) Jamal Fogarty (could do anything)
For guns, popular targets are
Taumalolo, Tom Trbojevic, Alex Twal, Ryan Matterson,
Horsburgh is a common midranger pick
For trade outs, other than long term red dots, some people are losing patience with
Jack Williams, Liam Knight, Jake Friend. Depends is Fifita - Grant gives you the cash you need or not.
Personally I am bringing in Drinkwater, not many other people are mentioning him, that could be because they all have him already.
Exactly what we needed. Cheers.

Josh Papalii and NAS are just a couple that spring to mindmattnz wrote:Who would you rate as the best ball runners close to the line to score tries? With the new rules that allow running at the line in high tackle number sets, I can see them being big winners with the new rules. Hess is one that springs to mind, Staggs is another who has shown in rounds 1 and 2 he can capitalize with the ball in hand close to the line. Who are others that may be worthwhile PODs to bring in?

4 trades are:
Knight to Grant
Fifita to Taumalolo
Walters to Fogarty
Watkins to Tommy T
I have 64k spare and this:
Koro
Haas Carrigan
Williams Taumalolo Lucy
Moses Luai
Shiba Wiliame
Tommy T Pap Drinky
Brailey Grant Katoa JTB
Rudolf Fogarty Aubbo Cleary
Thoughts guys?
Just weird that you are going to such lengths (guy with -1 BE) to “avoid” a sub 500k backrower eligible at centre
If it makes you feel better, our interest on here won’t be the consensus. Capewell will be absolutely under the radar from Joe Public, so don’t feel like such a sheep on this one. Just be thankful you have a fantasy community!

Martin probs comes on with Yeo to second row and Capewell off.
Tommy T is a definite keeper as well and could go massive against the Dogs.

Rationale is fine but also... Massively overthinking it.
He was one of very few off-season purchases. You’d think his minutes won’t be an issue overall to field at centre over a Shibasaki or Lomax/Wiliame

Reeeeeally late to the party on this one but desperate SOS.
Currently I don't NEED to trade this week unless Kennedy doesn't play (likely) - Williame can cover Ponga and Watkins is my only "real" out. But I kinda feel like now is time to make hay with the 4 trades while I can.
Started with Keary. Kinda regret it, kinda don't (everyone has to take a punt right?). Time to cut him loose?
Keary, Kennedy, Watkins, Knight out for Grant, Capewell, DCE and someone under $360k? Could also play Luai at half and get a better second rower, or Drinkwater at half and get another fullback. Spent too long tossing up options so hoping a fresh set of eyes can help. Also not keen on playing both Katoa and JTB so have to throw that into the equation too.
Current team
Koro
Haas Carrigan
Lolo Leilua Katoa
Keary JMK
Shiba Williame
Drinky Pap Kennedy
Friend Knight Luai JTB
Walters Rudolf (Ponga Watkins)
$70k in the bank

Capewell could average 30 and I think I'd still have more confidence in him than Williame or Shiba long term lol

I have just been re-watching Staggs tries, they are almost all short-range powering through defenders from a few meters out. I think he is going to be pretty unstoppable with the new rules that likely see twice as many tackles in opposition 20 meter zones each game. Just on this basis, I am planning to bring him in as a keeper (hopefully) this week.
Ponga is another master of close to the line too, should kill it under the new rules. As soon as Newcastle get in the danger zone, he gets involved with a really good strike rate.

You could potentially just make one trade. Get rid of one of friend or knight for the best possible player you could afford.
Get a free look at the comp and go nuts with your 4 trades this week.
Ponga comes in for kennedy. Friend knight keary are three potential trade outs but it's only been two rounds and I think it's worth seeing how they go?

I always trawl through and make a few fun futures bets. Staggs @ 251 for most season tries is looking great right about now!
But on a serious note, definitely can't bag the decision but just think getting enticed by a dynamic player scoring a few tries early in the season can get you in trouble. Good luck with it though, he's an exciting player irl.

Thanks for the reply bro. Yeah if this was a normal round 3 I think I would be holding trades as much as possible - especially an early season hunch like Keary. Hmm

9 tries in the last 8 rounds last season. With that forward pack they will be pretty awesome this season. Have also been a side that typically chose to kick for goal previously, instead of running the ball.Dttragic2016 wrote:

Those odds on Staggs as top try scorer are insane, need to get me some of that action!

Tab in nz have staggs at $9, where are you seeing $251 for top try scorer?
