Are people interested in Munster because they think he will score better? Or just a cheaper option to fill that spot (security, known quantity, not a 'gamble' on a mid range cow)

I think he's priced correctly tbh (50), I don't think there is any particular reason why he elevates significantly beyond this. That's on the basis that Papy is the GK.

    NRL site has it correct

More to your point, with Taufua out injured, I think Garrick more likely to be in the team, and he seems to kick over DCE whenever he is there

didn't Garrick do a trade to St George and that's how they got Saab or that was just a rumor that fizzled out.

Agree with you. Having 3 gun halves at the end of the season is probably optimistic because it's likely there will be better scorers in the forwards. Unless you think Munster is 10 points unders and might close the gap to DCE is there really any point in having him?

Goal kicking + extra playmaking are the main justifications. That includes the assumption Grant is less involved in playmaking than Smith was. Which may or no tmay valid

Pretty excited to watch Grant play this year in the Storm system. Got a feeling he goes up a gear on last season.

Dont know how they manage the roles/mins with Grant/BSmith so I'm hesitant to start with him.

53 avg in games not effected by injury and 54 avg season prior, I’m hoping for more ball in attacking zone but would take the extra 3/4 points as a minimum

Junior Paulo has been fighting the house down in the off season.

Now he has trimmed (10kg) to 118kg, and he said it would only mean great things for his 2021 season, as NRL rule changes take rugby league to speeds of play never before seen.
“I did the first three weeks boxing in the off season and it certainly helped getting back with the boys – I was in better shape than in previous years,” Paulo said
    .

Priced at 50 and under 4% ownership for all those POD-junkies

He's a bit like AFB in that he will probably average 50 over the course of the season, but if you own them for the right period where they have a hot run of form, score a few tries, you might get a few 70's/80s

Definitely not one for me, but it's possible that he could push a 55 average.
It's hard to see him reaching a 60 average though when he managed a total of 5 scores over 60 in the previous season (from 22 games).

The big positive is his scores are surprisingly consistent with a pretty good floor (bar a single 29 minute game), and there's something to be said for players that seem to stay injury free.

Franklin Pele is going to be a beast. Already 130 kgs, good speed for such a huge guy, lots of tries, but the most impressive thing about him is his offload in the tackle. Gun!

Not sure if new news but Broncos looking to extend Staggs contract now that McCullough is all but gone. As mentioned they are chasing Walters JR but apparently Tigers are being difficult and not budging… NRL.com article also mentions, as it was here, Danny Levi is an option playing for the Bears.. also Albert Kelly and Isaac Luke are on train and trial deals.

With McCullough gone they have 28 of their 30 top spots filled.

    I don't think this has been mentioned here yet, but interesting to see the weekly prize looks gone, with a new monthly prize - rewards consistent high performing players (personally think it's a great idea);

    Monthly Prizes
In 2021 there will be seven(7) set periods (months) as defined in the Terms & Conditions. Each month the three top-scoring entrants in that month will win prizes.

We haven't really seen Munster have a decent run without Smith. What interests me is the amount of kms he got next to DCE for Queensland. Is that an example of Munster demanding the ball and wanting to be the dominant playmaker.

The fact that there aren't any tangible prizes also suggests the NRL are still hunting for a sponsor(s) to maybe help cover the cost of prizes . I also wonder if the rumoured cuts to their administration budgets impacts what might be the prizes (despite the low value compared to SC anyway).

The Sun-Herald has been told that will come in the form of a reduction in administration and operating costs of more than 50 per cent to ensure the game can survive and react to future unforeseen threats.

    That's interesting.

Related - DCE spoke recently about his role this season with Foran back at the club, and said how he will play a more free'd up style, similar to the one he played in origin last year. I didn't think too much of it at the time, but he had hardly any KM's in origin it seems.. could be a spook. That said, Foran never been a huge one for kick metres.
