Pretty strong indication that Leota will be starting prop with JFH this season.

    Seems very likely.
I imagine he still only ends up averaging around 35-40 minutes a game

Happy NY gents! Great to see most of the familiar faces back for another year. As always, huge shout out to MTB, Milchy and all the other regular contributors to the site. Good luck for the season ahead.

Thanks and good luck to you too. Was only thinking of you last night when I was compiling the leagues and all the teams with their pun names. There's only been one that pulled off the win leaving fantasy to publish an article about the winner with the distinct lack of team name. Very Happy

I'm strongly considering starting with Tex Hoy in my team, the Knights have a good draw for the start of the season.
Tex should put some good numbers up. I can trade him for one of the cheapies once Ponga returns.

Haha, can't understand why? Still not 100% sure what his role is at the Warriors, but I hope him and his chins get us back in the 8.

Sorry, stuck this in the wrong thread.

Apologise if this has been raised and I missed it.

What do people think of Hodgson? What does he need to average to be worth it? 45+? He has done that in the past.

    Currently Priced at 37.

Reasons why he might kill it.

Behind a quality pack with loads of depth
Halves combo is set, less pressure on him to be the centre of attack
Only had half the season to exploit the 6 again rule.
    Can play 80.
    Suits a quicker game

Reasons why he might not kill it

Never really been a top gun.
Sticky might give starling more time
With the depth of the pack, can’t see him moving hodgo to lock like he has in the past

I'd love to own him as I like watching him play and hope the faders do well.

But his status as a better-on-the-field-than-in-fantsy players comes through in the lack of tacklebot status, the lack of full recogntiion for TAs, and the first-in-first-out style means he's averaging a few missed tackles. Would rather J/BBrailey, Turpin in HK around that price.

I'm looking to run 7 hookers, but even then can't squeeze him in.

Makes Curran look relevant, would still be surprised though.

Curran and Sironen maybe having a shoot out for the starting spot while Katoa is out injured (which appears to only be a week or two of NRL)

Not sure if DW became relevant but would be good for Morgan if DW went into halves.

Fus out with a niggle but will be fine for round 1.

Looks like Siro might have the #12 jersey sewn up and BMM/Curran will keep the #11 until Katoa comes back.
Could mean BMM is a trap.

SOS has moved into the halves with CHT out.

Word around town is he is fighting it out with Matt Burton and May but apparently May is preferred as bench utility and don't see why they wouldn't but Momo straight in there, seeing as he is a centre.

This is how I read it too. Wonder if the 14-17 is relevant on the bench because Rocco Berry is an odd utility choice lol

ah Mau hiding down at #28 isn't ideal, though hopefully the bench isn't too relevant. Will still probably start with him even if he's on the bench as I think he gets 40 mins either way.

This was my thought. Most trial teams appear to have named 14-17 as their likely R1 bench then the rest, but if Warriors are doing that then Ah Mau and Jazz are big fallers

i've seen around a few places that JTB is expected to start this year, ah mau seems destined for a bench role

Yeah, don't see the swap happening if he wasn't going straight in.
