@Aardvark from previous thread.
Yes mate, Samboy's are still available, over here in WA anyway. They disappeared for close to a decade, then started appearing again in the Independant shops IGA/Farmer Jack's), but now Woolies sell them again also over the last couple of years.

Yeah right. That makes more sense. Hope that is the case.

Still tossing up options for the dreaded centre position - currently running Bird & Roberts starting, with Averillo on the bench for cover, also Niu (both 18-21), and just in case, Hoppo as 3rd WFB.
This just feels too much, too many centres (5 possibilities to make sure I won't need to waste trades for the inevitable injuries), but also too much coin. I'm leaning to ditching Bird and running Averillo as a starting option. Thoughts?

I think Bird IF fit is a decent option regardless of where he plays, has a cracking average even playing pure CTR. But it's a long time to be out and coming into the backs and performing.
I've really been warming to running Bird with Hopo in the CTR and Averillo as bench back up

Apparently (Dogs forum) Barrett said in an interview yesterday that Jackson will play lock this year.

Whio loves team drafts, we all love team drafts
Just trying to fit in both Harris and Crichton, so going the dodgy WFB route
Cook
Harris Watson Koala
Riki Gosi
Cleary Munster
Averillo Roberts
Tedesco Moylan Simonsson
Lam Crichton Brailey Liddle
The finest cheapies $1,116k can buy
Don't want to play 2 cheap WFBs, so not sure I'll end going this route. Might have to take a punt on Tex Hoy if I do.
If Munster doesn't kick, I'm going to drop him and play Lam to improve WFB

Perhaps Manly have just realised what a DH DWalker is! He has a significant court case coming up too!Chucky wrote:

I also hope that Davey gets it over Gosiewski. He is rather ordinary.

Surprising that is, Elliott did well at start of season and he's horrible on an edge if he gets moved there. Guess it's Waddell and RFM edge then?

I've been leaning towards the middie centre option, like Bird/Roberts, but both worry me - Bird may break again and Roberts just feels like one bender away from getting booted for an extended holiday. But, they are both priced well and can make serious coin.
I' leaning for Hoppo as WFB as he's pretty stable and rarely gets injured.
Averillo is an obvious 18-21 bench cover.
Does this mean I kick Niu out and carry Laurie in the hope he can pick up FB at the Tigers?
Too many cheapie cow options in the backs.

Pretty much one of Tommy T, Walker or Suli are always injured.

Playing Averillo in your emergencies also is great as he’s halves cover as well! Means can go with Cleary and Lam and forget Brooks, CHT and Milf.......The Bludger wrote:

Elliott would be on bench, according to the Dogs forum, who think he's better off there. Hetherington and Napa props, with Thompson coming in for one of them after suspension. Doorey competing with Waddell for edge.

Ogden probably in the mix to start prop as well.

Yeah, and Elliott might start edge if RFM not ready and Jackson set for lock. That shake-up actually suits Jackson most for fantasy, he could be the Yeo workhorse in Barrett's structure. Tricky price though.
For whoever asked about JMK's backup, the Dogs have one of the Sione Katoas.
