The ball was in play for 32 minutes in the first half of the Panthers and Eels game.

Plodders like Lodge dropping weight might be a good thing for their minutes.

Next week the NRL should have a public beep test with all NRL forwards What a Face

    Confession time.

A couple of us tried to get rabbits21 to put a random shitto player in his draft teams last year by just talking him up a bit (Jarrod Wallace maybe?)

I see now that our problem was that we didn't include mtb in our plans.

Any idea of whether Newcastle’s Young (CTW / FB), whom the fans seem to think will get Lee’s spot, gets the start by merit or Lee’s injury?

    https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/nrl/supercoach-news/why-brad-arthur-flicked-switch-on-mitchell-moses-and-dylan-brown-to-spark-parramattas-attack/news-story/f05489f42b9656d5d95f89cf6ed03ba5

Arthur confirms Moses Matto / Brown Lane swap sides this year.

“We planned on doing it half way through last year,” Arthur explained.

“We sort of talked about it a bit to make it a bit easier for Dylan around kicking.

“Dylan probably prefers to play on the right and Mitchell prefers the left.

“I just didn’t want to do it mid-season last year so we had an opportunity pre-season to work on it.

“And Laney and Dylan had sort of formed a reasonable combination, and it was the same with Matto and Mitchy and they wanted to still play together.

“So we just made the changes.”

Hey, Wallace is at least ten points underpriced on his role in the last six game of last season, and looked really good in the trial, scoring 57 points.

Okay, thanks. So that was what the “ean” pronounced as “ominic” was all about!

Bird is good at the junk point sideways run. Well whether he's still good at that after a year out of the game who knows.

The others don't inspire me with confidence enough to choose them over Bird if he makes the Round 1 team though. I was optimistic about Momo but he needs tries to score well, which isn't a worry for a strike centre per se but given Penrith heavily favour their left side I wonder if he'd get those tries.

Lomax still managed to score well, and Bird scored well in a poor Broncos team 2019

I watched the Broncs trial myself, Paix barely featured many will have Turpin it he plays 80mins....

I take it you’re joking anyway, it’s all good banter.

I have owned Hopoate the whole time and I’m not wavering. Same as my guns I’ve said all along I want Cleary, Angus and Fifita.

Lodge, Turpin and Ben Te'o having breakfast at my local coffee shop this morning. Did some eavesdropping but other than some low level bagging of Brodie Croft and Lodge saying c**t a lot, there was no insight. Lodge also looked considerably smaller than last year (but still quite large). Given the conversation arc, Te'o appeared to be the brains of the operation.

What a great weekend of footy, plenty to get excited about.
Here's my list of current considerations:
HOK: will I run with Cook, Macca or Koro as my gun hooker now Grant is out? I've got Koro pencilled in.
MID: still working out who to run out of LAM, Lodge, Koloa or even Magou or Paseka?
    EGD: Gosie, Davey, or Waddell
HLF: I'm pretty happy with my halves selection atm
    CTR: Roberts or Averillo?
WFB: Hoy, Laurie... a few questions to be answered before TLT on these guys

Would've hoped the scheming dummy half was the brains, but it could just been wisdom coming with Te'o advanced years.

I like my FRFs to say c**t a lot, so that's a plus

Overall I think Lodge is firming and maybe I'm a little bear-is on Turpin based on this insight. Croft was an avoid anyway, I wish you'd heard this conversation 12 months earlier though.

To be fair to Turpin he was letting the other two do most of the talking and was listening intently...keen to learn Very Happy
