Secondly is anyone not starting with either Cleary or DCE? Geez it’d be a brave move.

Cleary my 1st pick. Will be captain as well many times with Panthers juicy draw. His scores could possibly dip a little but he will still be the best half by some distance to DCE who i'd have 2nd. His scores do go up without Turbo but i want to start with the best and the best is Cleary in the halves and will be again this year in my mind.

No. Definitely no love there. I've got some for fifita and I'm hoping for some good things from Fa'amaaa...I don't know how to spell it.

It doesn't matter what league you are in at the end of the day. There's no money involved, you don't get a trophy, no ones really cares unless they are in League 4 with myself this season.

Too right, League 4 is the place to be this season.

I think you could legitimately captain Cook, Crichton or maybe DCE and be fine and the money saved could be put to good use elsewhere. I'm not that brave. Most years that I've done well I've generally made sure I had a set and forget captain, usually the most expensive guy. Originally that was Smith. IIRC, 2019 was when Smith was no longer the sole captaincy choice. Most had Cook, some had Fifita, some still had Smith and others like me tried to save the $ and just pick the best guy in their squad, for me that was Kapow or Macca Vomit

I played the captaincy roulette and by the first bye Cook had scored 542 more points more than my motley crew of captains. That would have had me finishing 5th (just in front of MTB Very Happy ) instead of one hundred and something! Obviously more complicated than that, but you get the idea.

So yeah you could do it, but as per the MS post, Cleary is likely sustainable as the best captain choice.

I'm with you there. He was in my team in RD1 last year and then got busted in that pic with the blondes. Didn't help my cause. Twas then soundly followed by Taumalolo being out. All the while, I didn't have Haas and he was killing it.

I understood last season why I was in L10 and I accepted that decision after the mods explained it to me I didn’t keep carrying on over it like you’re implying.... they assured me I’d be placed in the right one the year after.

Anyway I don’t wanna carry this on I know the mods do it in their own time and it’s tough to get everything all accurate so I’ve sent filthridden a pm to take the cha there.

Just when it sounds like he is backing down, out come the actual PM'S to sort it out !

I had just finished work not a good shift today and when I saw L6 I was just a bit shocked and disappointed that’s all. I don’t care about the down voters, it happens to me lots, I can see why some thought I was whinging but it wasn’t my intention to whine even if it came out like that....

Tell me why not to start with Macca, why is it a bad idea? Dragons will be bottom 2 and with it being such a fast game he’s likely to make 60 tackles a week.... I see value there in Macca and Turpin if playing 80mins.... could get Cook in later on
