    Yeah agree on this.

In EPL everyone is obsessed with "effective ownership" (ownership factoring in double captain points and benching decisions) to the point where I feel a lot of hardcore players let the fear of what their opponents might score override making the best decision for their actual team.

Ownership is a useful tool - now that it's stratified to meaningful levels and not just overall ownership - but shouldn't be the main part of a decision IMO. I definitely wouldn't be concerned at 52% ownership for a borderline starting 17 player.

I'm way more concerned at Fifita 99.5% and missing the boat on that one haha

On Fifita he has scored over 100 twice and is averaging 75, it makes sense that people that own him are doing well.

I'm also a non owner on the back of choosing different guns

Yeah thought that’s the logic. Think I’m just looking for a reason to get another R13 player in haha

Hope he has a blinder against South’s tonight and hit some bloody goals

Looking to go to Gutho or Moses

Had similar thoughts, trading him to get Moses in 1 trade is tempting but seems a bit luxury as he's a green dot and have other fires. Not sure what the smartest play is but will probably not pull this trigger

Also the nz warriors fan forum would be a good place to look for all here there are many quality supporters and they do get an inside scoop semi regularly most the opinions on there from key members are very helpful fantasy wise I believe the manly fan forum is also very active but I don't know how useful that could be

Rnd 13 is still a while off, and you get 4 trades into that round. Means if you have 9 or 10 rnd 13 players right now you can use the four trades to make that 13 or 14 players for round 13 right there That's not considering what other trades/injuries/etc come up before then.

Personally I wouldn't be trading in a rnd 13 player yet just as a luxury. If I'm forced to trade (eg I have to get a ctr for Hampton this week), then rnd 13 is a influencing factor.

Munster also facing up against a rookie half tonight (or Benji, not sure which side they will play) and still has goal kicking (if he can actually slot them)

I hate worrying about centres but damn it's a reality.

Currently this week i'm making :

    Roberts / Hampton -> Mann / Cini

Thinking being that Mann will score well and be a tradeout to a gun in rd 17 and Cini will become Lomax eventually when he's bottomed.

Only 20 trades left after these though... should I make one trade and go Hampton -> Opa and just keep him there and keep 1 trade?

Bloody Hampton and his stupid pec!

I traded Crichton to Fifita a few weeks ago as my only luxury trade* this year, and I don't regret it.

*I also traded out Turpin and Fuimaono while they were still in the starting 13, if that counts as a luxury trade
9 of my 13 trades going into this round have been for players who had a red dot.

Sometimes you just have to pull the trigger though. Fifita couldn't be ignored. He is still coasting through games while pumping out huge scores.

Turpin had a 'role change' in that Levi arrived.. and Fui just wasn't ever scoring more than 35 ish anyway.

Yeah trading a fit player is really a luxury. With all the injuries and suspensions this year then holding it will benefit in the long term

Like you said he can just be traded in R13 when it comes to it. Just hope he does well until then

Will just do the 1 trade this week of Hampton to the Fog and hope for the best. Thanks mate

This doesn't surprise me at all with most fantasy coaches looking for a stop-gap solution with Papy, Momo, Mitchell, Hampton, Roberts and Teddy sidelined.
I would expect most to put him in the EMG if/when Papy and Momo are back next round

I think I was looking at the same luxury trade the same week.

The UV/DV said do it, the comments said don't. I went with the latter, as it confirmed where I was going anyway. Mainly because I was ~10k short of doing SST -> Fifita in one move and didn't want to spend 2 trades on a luxury move. Never occurred to me to bail of Angus instead.

Anyway, that ship has sailed. Too luxurious now.

If both Simo and Simpkin can pump out 30+ I might hold the 2nd trade. Not loving the options I can afford - would be looking at playing Gamble/Walsh instead of one of them.

Considered it after round 1 but didn't expect Fifita would score 9 tries in the next 7 weeks. Like Cleary averaging 90 odd, anyone that tells you with a straight face they were expecting much more than a 60 average is lying

I know some are holding onto Roberts but I have no centre coverage so thinking of a straight swap to Cini for a little cash out in the hope he nails a spot and plays well. Has proved in the lower grades he can break tackles and loves some post contact meters. Hoping he can translate some of this to NRL. I also don’t mind the idea of trading him to a Lomax like player after R13. With Jensen being named to start prop for Blackhawks I could cash him out as well…looking at Starling with the Raiders kafuffle but don’t really want to go anywhere near a Raider at the moment.

    Have the following options:

    a) Roberts > Cini + 154K + bank a trade (loop Jensen)
    b) Jensen > Cini + 319K + bank a trade (loop Roberts) + Keep Roberts for insurance if he comes back in over Cini/other
    c) Roberts > Cini + Jensen > anyone 605K or under
    d) Jensen > 574K anyone but preferably a centre to cover Roberts.

Would love some input from this generous community.

    Here is team for context:
    Brailey
    Crichton Papalii Watson
    Schuster Fifita
    Cleary Moses
    Bird Roberts
    Teddy Laurie Turbo

    Simpkin Moses Walker Walsh
    Leniu Uto Jensen Pappy

    123K 24(2) – have banked 3 trades so far I think.

I can't believe it, another year where CTR is killing me. It's funny that last year's lesson was don't trade fit CTR's but Roberts went ahead and made himself an exception to that rule anyway.

Currently tossing up between S Crichton and Averillo.

I like Averillo more from a fantasy standpoint as he gets the consistent kick metres and has taken on more responsibility after those disastrous opening 3 rounds. However Crichton has the WFB DPP which could be very valuable and plays Round 13. His scores without tries don't thrill me though.

Totally. Was gambling on a slowish start with tries. 4-5 tries at this stage of the season would've been "oops got that wrong". 9 tries is completely off the charts. He does look like a 55-60 scorer going forward, but just got to wait now.

Was it you that had Aitken last year? Once he’s fit and dropped some price I’m probably gonna jump on that 40+ tackle busting train
