I did have him in my team for a while - but I'm not sure he'll quite get to sezer level.

Slater will be fine for round one but Munster won't be.

    sound enough logic?

Makes sense to me, with the low price cashcows available in the halves I think it's a good move.
On another note have you considered Maloney? There was a bit of discussion about his potential in the Rate My Team thread

Will keep it like that until TLT, unless it throws up some non talked about rookie second rower i will likely start the season that way

I Like Maloney but with Townsend there i don't think he will be as dominant as some think

Brad Takairangi $210,000 not bad for a starting CTR in a team expecting to score a fair few points

Yep lots of cashies available in the halves this season and some pretty good mid range options in the forwards

Maloney's biggest flaw is his missed tackle count, you can usually expect at least -6 points a week off his misses and he missed 8 or more on 4 occasions last year. He'll go huge now and then but really he's much too frustrating in my experience to rely on him.

I would love to see Eden get a run. Are Munster/Billy under an injury cloud? If it is just fitness I don't see how they could start Scott over either of them.

munster may miss round 1. not sure what billy's deal is, this is bellamy the other day:

even if billy and munster are good to go, there is a wing spot up for grabs at the storm, by my reckoning. the other guys in the hunt are probably cheyse blair, jeremy hawkins, young tonomapiea?

“You’d probably think at the start of the pre-season he’s probably a bit young (to start in round one) as he’s only just turned 18 but the way he’s handled the pre-season and the way he’s handled the Nines, the next two weeks are pretty big weeks for him,” Bellamy said.

“He’s right in the reckoning to be quite honest, especially with a bit of doubt on Billy (Slater) and if Munster doesn’t make round one Curtis is right in there with two or three other blokes.”

Bit of doubt on Billy? Wonder how serious it is or if it's just a bit of good old fashioned coach misdirection. If he's not fully fit then might have to swap him back out for Fergo.

Read somewhere he's had a bit of a flare up/setback on his shoulder and its taking a while to recover from. Not sure but at his age and with a reoccurring injury in sight, it was enough for me to take him out of my team.

Thoughts on Tim Grant? Galloway averaged 45 minutes last year and Grant scores at very close to 1ppm so even if he plays 40mins he'll be close to 10 points a game above his price.

I am looking very closely at Grant. For me it depends on where Sue is named in the Tiggers pack.
If Sue becomes part of the front-row rotation then I won't pick Grant

Yep, looking closely at Grant as well.  Had that great start to the year DT wiase in 2102 or 2013 and then did his Hammy I think.  He played a couple of 50 plus minutes games and wasn't tanked.  Alot has changed since then but definitely worthy a watch.

Even when he wasn't doing so well at souffs his ppm was still good. As a fan I think(hope) that Sue will play lock so that should leave Grant with a solid 40 minutes.

Paasi in front row is interesting.

Shillington, Douglas, James + Paasi as the rotation during the season?

I think it rules Paasi out - won't get the minutes required as a prop to score well, unless he improves his game a bit (which is not impossible based on his 9s showing, just not quite happy to bet on it)
