I'll roll without Walsh for now.

Holding a lot of cash on the sidelines with Papy, Crichton, and Haas now injured. Haas may be the one to go next week and just hold the other two.

Havent traded yet this week. Could force a Crichton -> someone to avoid Fleglers score but not sure its worth it, especially now with potential for Haas to miss more time than Crichton.

I'm pretty set on trading Haas next week I think.  He's been disappointing and probably could get someone a little cheaper scoring as much as he is. I'm holding Crichton.

I need a MID to field 17, so I either stick with Crichton to iPap and hold Pap or trade Stefano up to 464k, but with no particularly appealing options. Or live with the fuck up and field 16.

What a rookie error. That has taken a bit of a shine off the Hynes score.

    What would you do?

Still annoyed at myself for this. You have to stick with Crichton to iPap right? Nothing worthwhile if trading Stefano and don't want to play with 16.

Did you still do Walker to Hynes?

I would probably pull the trigger as it is probably 50 pt difference in playing 16 vs getting iPap.

JDB expected to be registered by the NRL today and will play reserve grade this weekend and then is expected to join the first grade team training on Monday and eligible for selection next week (depending on when his charges are formally dropped)

My theory was that even making $150k over the next 3 weeks was barely worth it if I had to trade him out again afterwards.
I am still not convinced it would have been a good long term move to bring him in this week - depends what happens to Munster and Papy and how soon they come back

Yup, still did Walker to Hynes thankfully.

Just mucking around with trades & when I reversed must have gotten rid of Crichton instead of Pap. Think I'll have to stick with it now. Hopefully it's a sign.

Most traded in player either goes massive or goes negative

For every Hynes, Walsh, Trbo there is a Jake Simpkin or Zac Cini.

Ponga cracked 100 and then followed it up with 33 and 40. A lot of popular trade-ins have gotten injured within 2 weeks of coming in as well

The MS rule of don't trade in players who get injured has really been rule number 1 this year. Wish I'd followed it

Palasia heavily traded in and probably won't get a run next week. Not sure how many of those teams were serious teams wanting a cheap cashie/out or casuals though..

The 3 players people were most worried about in pre-season were Trbo, Liddle and Moylan

Other than Trbo in pre-season, none have been injured this year. Trbo was a great pick. Liddle did fairly well, and Moylan wasn't a great Fantasy but, but at least plays most weeks. Maybe some players have picked up on the MS rule and are following it themselves

Suaalii in almost 13% of the top 5000. I'd say pretty much all of those teams didn't start with him, and he's not done that well, even if you made good use of the extra cash.

So does the scoring system need to be overhauled because missing a WFB like Walsh, Turbo or possibly Hynes ruins you in the rankings?

This is just a jab at the Captain Cleary removes all strategy!

There's so many moves or trades we're all making or not making that influence our season.

E.g I paid 850k for Haas a few weeks ago. I overpaid for what he gave me in 3 weeks and non Haas owners got one over on me.

Captain Cleary couldn't save me from that.

This is a reason why I had to skip Hynes. I would have had to trade in someone like Palasia and felt that would have backfired in the coming weeks. Hopefully my thinking checks out.

Given the Haas situation is it worth reversing Walker to McC, or still a good trade? Might stick with and deal with Haas next week if required.
