    Sharks - Hynes

    Thoughts?

    Ponga not kicking this year?

Clifford kicked for Knights last year even with Ponga in the side. I'd expect that to continue, although Ponga apparently has the better conversion rate according to the Knights website: 71.4 vs 67.4.

Edit: just remembered that Ponga spent half the year battling a groin injury, maybe they didn't want to risk it. This year, who knows.

Haha, yeah probably. You could do a lot worse, very handy dpp, not overly reliant on TBs, should have his centre spot locked up again so excellent job security, decent chance of making cash. I haven't made a team yet, and I'm liking the idea of Burton and Aitken, but definitely interested in finding a spot for Scritch.

Didn't realise Pap is only 636k wow. Definitely is a lock for my team, had a massive average last year outside of his injured games.

There's a few guys priced randomly above/below average. More priced above than below. Unless there is something crazy anomaly around the new stats that we can't see I don't know why its happened.
Makes Crichton a good pickup though

Yeah Crichton at CTR averages 37 points. Should be a no-brainer at his current price.

Speaking of Clifford whoever his halves partner is won't be a noted kicker of the ball. I know kick metres nerfed and all that but he only averaged 300 kick metres per game last year and could easily raise that to 450-500 per game

The value is in Clune, not Clifford.

Clune is 10 points under-priced, Clifford is priced correctly.

Had a down year in terms of try scoring last year as well. Will be somewhere in my back 5 round 1

Clune under priced due to bench appearances. Clifford under priced due to Pearce's kick metres leaving the club.

Clune the more enticing option as he won't need to change much to improve scoring as long as he starts where Clifford will need to take on the lions share of the kicking.

If you pick all those must haves + Cleary - it leaves you with an average of $383k each for you remaining 12 players

If you select everyone on your list - that leaves you with an average of $256k for your last 6 players, and there are not a lot of solid options sub $256k.
That is not going to happen so you have to be very careful about how many players >$500k you pick and who they are.

This is precisely why I am unlikely to pick Cleary. But I will consider him. I don't think what he does to the rest of the side is worth it.

Warriors have a great start to the season:
    Dragons
    Titans
    Tigers
    Broncos
    Cowboys

Whichever winger is playing outside SJ should get a lot of good balls to score tries on the right wing.

FWIW Ben Hornby (assistant at Souths currently) said late last year its Jaxson Paulo vs Taane Milne for Gagai's LC spot, and Milne was pretty awful when he filled in there last year so I'm confident Paulo gets first crack. Just don't get too attached to the idea of Tass lol

I think there’s a few typos, unfortunately most go the other way.

Pompey is the obvious one for me - priced like he averaged exactly 10 more than he did. Feels like a keying error when they were inputting the data to calculate prices

Paulo has been training at left centre too of late.
