Had to reset my bloody account and start all over again. If you have been in my league before please jump in. And if you haven't, I will just boot you.
Hopefully this year I will have blue Tiges back in the league.

Can't find it, but didn't I read that he got injured within days of joining the Tigers?

Asu Kepaoa (who was apparently favourite for the round 1 gig) got injured just after To'a joined.

Sexton looks appealing, but probably won't make it into my team. There are too many alternative options in the halves. If he was a MID it would be a different story

Real life problem with Sexton is he makes Fogarty look like Usain Bolt. You can still be an ok half with zero pace, but it's harder.

Douehi planning on a return "in the middle.of the front end of the season", for anyone interested in Tigers centres and/or Hastings. It's pretty convoluted, but I take that to mean Round 5/6.

I’m warming to starting with Christian Welch after studying his stats. I might be aboard the Welch train Beth. I think I trust his role and mins more than Uto. Storm have lost Finucane, NAS and Tui as well in the poo I really think Welch could get 55mins and look at his offload ability.

Ah yes, but you forget that those teams will also see playing the Warriors as an easy start to the season.

Interesting depth charts. Highlights that with Tui and Nelson out, Moeroa should come into real contention for some good minutes.

There are definitely some inaccuracies though. They say how Warriors are lacking depth on the edge, but are missing BMM and Murchie.

Anyone know Starford's whereabouts during that training mishap??

Scott Drinkwater is another who looked tempting based on a small sample. Charlie Staines too although most figured that was unsustainable.

Sometimes the choice comes down to someone whose small sample suggests they might go well, or someone whose large sample suggests they won't. have to take a risk somewhere.

Its why I am a bit cautious about Euan Aitken. His short stint at edge last year lead to a lot of tries. Pretty sure his score will regress. Just trying to work out by how much and if he is still worth it.

I think on squad balance I'm going to only have one of Aitken and Burton for round 1. Leaning towards Burton because I think he has more chance to burn me if I'm wrong

I see Burton with a floor of 40 average and a ceiling of 65 average while Aitken is probably closer to 35 floor 55 ceiling. Due to 4 tries in 5 games it's hard to project Aitken's score moving forward. I'm kind of projecting his ceiling based on a similar player in Frizell. Both are good hole runners, solid defenders, not huge metre eaters and play for fringe top 8 teams. Of course if Aitken continues to score 4 tries every 5 games that projection will look pretty silly, but I don't think he will massively out perform his price
