Was preferred centre all last year until family issues from memory but now everyone and their dog is predicting Penisini to start with no issues

Hi everyone, HNY and what not. Hope everyone had a great Holiday season. I haven't done a single minute on any Fantasy prep, haven't even logged in nor checked prices. Looking forward to it though.

Yes I'll be playing this year.
Yes I'll be registering for the leagues.
Yes I'll be winning the entire thing this year.

    Who's gonna be 2nd?

on mtb's site under who's not hot = Burton....people realising being at a shite team with a horror draw & possibly losing projected km's if he's not the controlling hlf (Barrett said recently Burton will be a running hlf & the 7 & 9 will control the game). On the amateurfantasysports site they project him in the range of 48-54 pts but that includes 340-400 km's. So say he gets 250 km's he will lose 3-5 pts in km's so his projected pts are now 45-49.

If you can call the 4th most selected player in the game "not hot", then Burton is certainly ice cold right now

    Lame.

The ones in consideration for round 1 would be

Cook/Mahoney (for an outright gun pick)
Grant (misses round 1 but possibly 5pts underpriced)
Cotter (in the mix to start at 13 for the cowboys)
Starling (could start with Hodgson leaving in 2023 but also averaged 45 in a small sample of 55 min games off the bench last yr)
    Clark (starting 9 for Titans)
    Randall (starting 9 for Knights)
J Cook (in the mix to start 9 for the dogs)

SuperMann likely to start at lock according to Toohey, hopefully he'll get given MID dual position for that

I love Mann he's one of my favourite players in fantasy but does O'Brien do to Mann what he did to Watson in 2021...name him to start at lock on tlt then 1 hour before the game pull the old switcharoo & bench him starting a bigger body at lock

As we saw with Watto last year, it didn't really matter if he got moved to the bench, he was still playing enough minutes.

Mann will get probably 40 mins at lock (at some point, not necessarily starting but Toohey's saying he will) and then spell Randall at hooker.

The key is just getting named there round 1 to get the mid designation. Won't get that if named on the bench at TLT.

Yeah, though if he gets named and then dropped to the bench 1hr before kickoff, he should still get his dual which is fine by me

One guy I'm mulling over is J. Saifiti he really hit form at the back end of 2021 starting the last 11 games. His form was so good he usurped Klemmer as the 2nd best prop but you could argue he was playing better than his brother. In those last 11 games he averaged 46 pts & 50 mins & at 495k he's priced at 40 pts so if he starts & holds those mins there is value there.

Mann for sure. Much harder to predict Cotter's minutes. They may be minimal
