Was convinced a few seasons ago the Roosters gave big Shaq a top 30 contract as a way to top up Latrell's deal. Souffs pulling out the same old trick.

He's now been called up for the NRL All-Star game, there must literally be no other NRL contracted indigenous forwards available.

    Random thoughts:
There's an obvious list of players who will appear in the team lists of most 'serious' players (although I don't know what constitutes a "serious player").
Randall at Hooker for obvious cashcow coin
Cleary as set and forget (C)
Amone / Ilias or whoever gets the Bunnies or Dragons starting half spot.
Burton / Aitkin as set and forget Centres (although this option does take up some coin)
    S. Crichton everyone seems to agree has been given a sweet 3 instead of 4 at the beginning of his price, so with DPP offers perfect cover.

But, there seems to be a few options, especially for reserve positions with multiple options.
    Wing/Fullback - Coates ($330) / Dunster ($298) / Pereira ($327) / Savage ($350) / others ??
    Edge - Tago ($334) / Luki ($439) / Nanai ($350) / Martin ($499) / Graham ($461) / Capewell ($511) / RFM ($400) as middie options and then the big guns question - TPJ ($668) versus Curran ($675) or Matterson ($683)
Middles - J. Saf ($495) / Welch ($588) / Lolo ($620) / Paulo ($569) all offer upside, depending on how the new scoring impacts their run metres and off-loads, versus less from TBs.

I think the selections of these similarly priced middies will define Fantasy for 2022. Pick the right ones, go on a scoring spree and you'll have plenty of cash to upgrade to the uber-guns, miss them and you'll be spending too many trades trying to catch-up.
As for the Bludger, well I always manage to find the spuds, so check out my team when its up and avoid any I select.  afro

I hope there is a fair few 220-240k cashies thrown up on TLT. I have a picked a team that I like, but depth is sh*thouse.

    mahoney
    haas, Uto, TPJ
    Fermor, Davey
    Cleary, Hastings
    Aitken, Suaali
    Ponga, Scrighton, Coates

    Randall, Ilias, Mann, Howarth
    240k, 220k, 220k, 220k

    10k in the bank.

Davey is very unlikely to get many minutes. Hastings to Illias (you’ve got Mann as back up). Howarth very unlikely to appear anytime soon plus 4 Hail Marys! Good luck.

    WFB - Nofo $455, Paulo $327, Suaalii $350
    EDG - Fermor $451
MID - Cotter $500, Mann $472 (if starting lock round 1), Uto $557

I doubt Aitken is set and forget for the season. In his own words he is expecting to play both edge and center this season and will start on an edge in round 1. Would expect him to move when Tohu is back (expected rounds 4-6). If / when he moves to center, you have to immediately drop him before he loses too much value (11 points over-priced to start the season). Would also be the new Aubo, any backline injuries, he moves to the centers.

Yep, a team with Davey, Howarth and Ilias in the 17 is going to have some shockers. I am trying to initially position Ilias as 18th man, guys like Davey and Howarth as 20 and 21.

Wouldn’t build a draft around having 5 240 guys and hoping they play (Howarth is likely a trap too), especially this year when it’s looking like most cheapies will start in the high 200s-350k range. The Meta this year might be more middies, unless you go Clearyless

20 tries for the season would see him improve from 0.6 tries per game to 0.8, a marginal difference in point scoring. I think there is better value out there.

He is still going to have a few games scoring single digits.

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on Paulo as starting left center at Souths at the same price point and will pick up dual WFB/CTR in round 1.

Gagai certainly scored well in that position for them (49 average last season) and the left side will be at least as prevalent this year with all the ball playing going through Walker without Reynolds there.
I’ll be watching Paulo closely in the Charity Shield.

Yes Tohu plays lock, but is often named on an edge and a guy like Curran if named at lock round 1 moves to an edge.
