Nah there’s been Aussies play for the Māori team.

If there’s a line it would be they didn’t want to pick Niukore aka not quite good enough

Sadly, often those expectations are let down by the actual coaches.

    What you say is true.

But with Uto - he seems to have done last ear what everyone wanted Leniu to do. Start as a bench prop and work his way into the starting team. He'd played about 30 minutes of first grade football prior to the start of last year - got a bit of a start when Twal and Tamou missed some games. But I think he is an established starter now and should be considered as such

As opposed to Fifita who started last night with a bunch of other top props out and can't be considered a long term starter (but I think will have some fantasy value off the bench)

Im pretty sure Dolphin Conspiracies is an alt of someone who played last time. For some clarification though everything will be done through this website. I will communicate with you through the main thread and you will have a private thread only your tribe can see. You can communicate privately through your PMs.

How it works is each week I will set a challenge to both tribes. Sometimes it will be a team challenge and you and your tribe mates will need to decide on an answer. Sometimes it will be an individual challenge but your score contributes to your tribes. These challenges will be all sort of footy and fantasy related challenges such as picking a team of players that will outscore their average by the most. Sometimes it will be just as simple as picking a team that will score the most fantasy points. and Sometimes it might be not fantasy related at all like ordering a select group of players by who you think will get the most run metres or most missed tackles and errors

(These are off the top of my head and may or may not be in the actual game)

The losing tribe will go to tribal council where the tribes people on that tribe will vote one of their tribemates off. That is why it will be important to pm your tribe mates to build alliances and sometimes break them.

The goal is to be the last person standing. It gets a lot clearer as you start to play.

It is a lot of fun so I do recommend you join. There is enough to play the game as it is but there is still 6 slots left that would be really good to fill.

This is a game about strategy and football and fantasy knowledge. Alliances will be formed, challenges will be won and backs will be stabbed as 24 (16-24) players will fight to be the sole survivor.

    Outwit, Outplay, Outlast

This was brilliant in 2020.  Awesome fantasy-related challenges, hilarious banter, and some sensational gameplay.  And a great opportunity to get to know some of the lads on the site.

If you're sitting on the fence, or not really sure if it's worth your while, think again.

Sadly, often those expectations are let down by the actual coaches.

I don't think it is an unreasonable expectation that a coach is likely to start the next season with a similar perspective to what he landed on as his best options to finish the previous season. Tapine and Uto are both in my team on this basis this year. Both consistently got the role I need from them for an extended period to finish last year.

We need to base our picks on something and this kind of analysis should work as well as any. Unfortunately, as you say, things may not work out exactly as planned due to coaches changing their mind in the off season. If they work out as they should you are ahead. At the very least, they should be low risk of going backwards on their starting price point.

Why did W Graham only end up with 2 points in 80mins?? Surely this is just because trial games aren't scored correctly? Or are his mins incorrect?

Were these Aussies born in NZ or had a NZ parent who was a Maori? All I’m saying is that like Tonga and Samoa, The Cook Islands is not in NZ. Culturally they are all different!

The main attraction with Fifi is his $240k price tag. If he punches out a few 40's the first few rounds and then reverts to the bench he would have done enough to get the cash generation going.

Aside from that, he looks in a much better shape than last 2 seasons where he struggled with his knee, he didn't look like a 3rd string bench prop to me.

(Also, he would make a fine Wookiee warrior)

my understanding is that Maori and Cook Island Maori although sharing the same ancestry are distinct ethnicities in their own right.

The first difference I think of is language which is similar but definitely not the same.

You are correct. I just googled Cook Islands and they are automatically citizens of NZ! There is however a cultural difference between NZ and Cook Island Maoris. I doubt he is going to claim he is a NZ Maori.

Andrew Fifita is potentially the best value player in the entire game.

Base price with fantasy pedigree as a captaincy option

Do I think he is likely to return to that sort of scoring? Absolutely not

Would I rather have him than someone like Moeroa or Lisone? You bet

For what it's worth Fifita isn't currently in my team
