Hi all, been chopping and changing my team for quite a while now and still not managed to come up with one I’m fully happy with. Current draft is :

    Randall
    Stefano Haas Taumalolo
    Nanai Katoa
    Cleary Hastings
    Aitken Tago
    Hynes Papy Crichton

    Simpkin Bullemor Tuilagi Schneider
    Ilias Fifita M.King Jennings

    49k in the bank.

Previously had Grant in most drafts, was willing to take the red dot for round 1 thinking he’s going to see a bigger role this year but removed him earlier today to play around. Used the money from him to upgrade starting middles to Stefano, Lolo & Haas - quite like it but thinking maybe I’m locking too much money up in one position?
Lacking in centre/wings as well with only Jennings there atm covering wing and no centre cover (Jennings obviously still TLT dependent atm as well). Feel as though I’ll probably have to get rid of one of Fifita or King to get a backup centre but likely need to free up some cash somewhere to get anyone worthwhile.

    Any thoughts/opinions?

No no, I'm in the south east and while there's been flooding, I haven't been personally affected.

I've been quiet as I've had a few other things going on. I literally haven't watched a trial game or played with any drafts. Fantasy taking a backseat this year but hoping next week might get me into it. I might share some thoughts later, but fantasy just isn't going to be as prevalent this year as it has been the last few.

Saying that, I don't even know how Nofo looked in the trials so I might look to Matt on that one and be guided by him. Still want to be competitive but more importantly still want players that are my favs. We'll see.

I'm happy to have Buldemort in my team, he'll probably be in the EMG for round 1 though

Your 13 looks pretty good to me but your bench and emergency has a few who may not start, or may not start for long. You could definitely work with it, but I'd probably strengthen my bench. I'd leave it until TLT and see how the chips fall. There will be plenty of discussion of options on here, come Tuesday.

    Anyway,

The quoted post above was made when it was Welshy's turn to pick in NRL FF Draft League 1.
His previous draft pick was Keary.
I don't see how anyone outside of L1 would know that. Hence, the Alt is in L1.

NRL FF Draft League 1 members suspects:

    EasyTiger - It's not me

Jstevens269 - American, doesn't fit the timezones and would post more if he wanted to post more

wolfking - Too busy for that shit

Welshy - I think I'd love a Welshy Alt - tell us what you really think Welshy Very Happy  - i.e. it's not him

Cantbeatwinners - Doesn't fit the posting times/pattern, and doesn't seem the type for such indulgences - it's not him

    That leaves a villainous 5:

Jele - Seems too much of a stand-up guy to waste his time on Alting... 10-1

Mulvy - Dolphin likes to back up arguments with facts, but then some are more like pseudo-facts with a degree of confirmation bias. It could be Mulvy, but if it is, I think it's likely a split personality and even Mulvy doesn't know he's the dolphin. 8-1

B/L - Ran the survivor hive of villainy, lies and deception. The above post appears to pay Welshy a compliment though, so seems unlikely... 6-1

sajjos - Doesn't post that much to be driven to add in an alt. But is very good at reminding people when it's their turn in draft... 4-1

robelgordo - An active poster - has he been a bit more quiet lately? Doesn't need to go with the masses and can be drawn in to a "good" POD. Keep a close eye on this one - I'd suggest not letting them near a rope, revolver, dagger, lead pipe, candlestick etc 2-1

pookus - not in the DL1 - but likes to be included in any villainy mentions... 1000-1

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Kurt "The Redback" Mann.

Hmm, thinking Aitken could be moved around a bit by the Wah Wahs, fits nicely as a forward selectable at CTR too

Just one week, although I would have the red dot on the interchange bench and loop any position I like (not overly keen on Simpkin).

Same here. Not having to get Paix makes a big difference in the rest of the team.

Cheers, think you’re right and I could do with upgrading the bench a bit - don’t want to be stuck in 3-4 weeks time with a load of players dropped or only getting 10-20 mins & having to burn through trades without earning much cash.
I seem to have gone complete opposite to where I was a few weeks ago - early drafts had too much cash in reserves and wasting it in 18-21, and now got it all in the starting 13 with too many risks in the bench/reserves.
Like you say, probably best just to wait until TLT now and go from there, but probably won’t be able to stop myself tinkering in the meantime!
