Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 9
Bloody hell, I've been avoiding it because I knew it would be a problem, but bye rounds 12 and 18 play havoc with my team. I think I need a couple more Tigers, Raiders, Cowboys, Bulldogs and Eels players.

Which CC would you rate the most likely to make average 25 and make 80k
Bhana
Scott
Auva'a
Davis
Abby
Kennar
Littlejohn
Problem is none of them have good job security.
Littlejohn will make the most cash if he plays - but he's relying on Brooks or Moses going down for that to happen.
Probably Bhana next best if he can keep Levi out of first grade.
Abbey and Scott might be tempting if they can crack first grade

Seems to be popular this year not planning straight up, including with me. I have hardly looked at them.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 9
I have finally ditched Claw from my team. Means I am relying on Green to keep his spot for long enough to make a bit of cash because he's now a starting centre.
Might end up running with Abbey or Curtis Scott, because the alternative is really someone like Chanel Mata'utia/ Eden
(Currently have Curtis Scott because he's DPP and my only DPP in WFB)
Also have $41k sitting around for last minute panic changes, like Hodgson - Lichaa
Or Bring in Copley/Hunt for Scott

What are the chances of Cooper playing big minutes?
I can upgrade LAM to either Cooper or Kapow.
But Kapow leaves me with no DPP cover for the front row.

Cheers, I keep changing 2-3 spots of my team. the choice is
A. Carty + Packer (with Packer as 4th reserve)
or
B. Taupau/Woods + NPR from above list (with Taylor as 4th reserve)
Pretty much it comes down to whether I think Jniko/Taylor/BHenry will score as much as Packer and whether any CC I pick will make me 80k

What is up with Scott? I heard his name pop up a lot but he never made team lists

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy Thread Part 9
@Random, I'm happy to do it mate. What is the most reliable source for late changes and final lists (not NRL.com which usually posts about 15mins after kickoff) so that I can list that?
If all it is is "new topic" under the rugby league section and titled Thursday Match Thread and the teams playing and the first post being team lists, I'll have a crack.
Wanna help out where I can and you mod mo have enough on your hands.

I am banking on Taylor and Niko (especially if Pearce is out for 8-12 weeks) both averaging more then Packer. Bhenry too if he keeps his spot.
It might be generous but I think Taylor and Niko will be 35-40 (with potential to go large) where as Packer 30-35.

Yeah I'm really surprised no one's been talking about it more, it's going to be a real headache for some people down the track. Currently I have 17 on a bye during round 12.
I think Tigers, Raiders and Eels players are especially going to play a much bigger part in my team now. Peats is definitely coming back into the side.

He's still pretty young, and Storm have a bit of depth in the outside backs. But highly rated so might get a run with a couple of injuries.
but seems he is behind at least Kennar/Onamatapeia and potentially Cheyse Blair as well.
Could also take a punt on Abbey, surely Chase Stanley will get injured soon and he might get a run. But sort of want a DPP there to allow switcheroo with Gutherson if necessary.

with only one team playing all 3 and not many others playing 2 it is going to be a clusterfuck come bye period. may be best this year just doing what you can to get by rather than targeting that period to make a big move. isn't it something crazy like the teams that you want players from all have byes the next week or something

I've been aware all along that I've had only 8/9 players to start with for round 12, and a few of them are cows (in one team I had only 5). The round 12 bye teams are just not falling well for fantasy. 15 and 18 are quite a lot kinder.
What would be a respectable *average* amount to have playing for the major byes? (ie. Rnd 12 - 10 players, Rnd 15 - 16 players, Rnd 18 - 16 players = 42/3 = 14 average) If we think of it like that then rnd 12 doesn't look so apocalyptic.

HI all, 3 from 4
Saifiti
Bhana
Green
Henry
2 backrow, 1 centre required
All have issues regarding game time and security of playing, but who's best to have in the 25? The dpp is very much a bonus for Green and Henry however the 2 Newcastle boys look decent cheapies too.

They're all decent selections for your 25. I'd probs take Henry and Benry to open up the link, and then take Saifiti over Bhana.

Thanks superbucks
Is green worth the extra 40 for the dpp, it was my initial thought to include Henry and green for this however splitting saifiti and bhana then became the dilemma.

Sorry I wrote Benry and Henry was meant to be Green and Henry lol.
Yea I think Green is worth it, given he'll start in the back row (not sure what happens when Buhrer comes back in a month or so). I don't know too much about him but I'm sure he did ok when he got a game last year for the dragons in the second row. So yep follow your initial thoughts. And I'd take Saifiti over Bhana but I'm not solid on this.
