Murray concerns me in regards to being nursed through to the semis.
Haas could be similar but he looked great last week.
May is a much better cover and even 18th or 19th man than Mbye.

I was thinking almost the opposite, Murray just had 3 weeks off and they would flog him for 80 every game to ensure they make finals. The coverage thing is huge though, if a centre goes down early id have to spend a trade rather than run Mbye 5 weeks whereas May would be fine. Not sure if its silly holding 550k on the pine just in case Burton or Aitken get injured though.

Late to this but… I know a few ppl have said Butcher easily, but that feels like a “last week score” based answer to me. Ask them 7 days earlier and might be Doueihi easily.

If position doesn’t matter to you I think it’s a legit 50/50. Butcher is steadier/safer, but Doueihi has a much higher ceiling

5 Trades left, was going to spend 2 on this

Koula/RFM out M'Bye & one of Ted or Haas in

But just noticed I can do this

    Koula/RFM/Ming out Ted/Haas/Mbye in

Only leaves 2 trades for 5 rounds & also means Friz stays in my 17 and my pissweak 18-21 is Mbye, Kennedy, Palasia & Trindall

My natural instinct is to go the conservative option but this season my guts have shit for brains

    Do it or hold back??

Not sure if I should get Haas with a chance of being able to afford Cook next week (Manu to gain/Cook to lose 20k), or Fifita to more or less guarantee it, or just get Murray and forget about Cook. scratch scratch scratch

Legend.  Haas now 15% of the top 100, I'm guessing that's from last week?  Any ideas mate how much the 5.35% of players bringing him in this week would equate to roughly on that total of the top 100 or even 1000?

I'm kind of in the same boat. using 3 trades vs 2 I feel is actually a big decision. Leaving 2 seems risky but leaving 3 seems so much safer, but the 3 trades gains a lot. The 3 trade option for you seems legit.

I know I'll end up regretting it if I use 3 trades and leave only one so I'm ruling that out.

Thinking Mahoney and Lolo to Butcher and Teddy (or this could still be Haas). Can hold RFM and hope he is back next week as he is an ideal 18th man, I don't want to go down to a Mbye, Kennedy, Pole Matamua situation as my emergencies with only 2 trades left. Chances are high that a starter will get a one week injury or covid or something and I'll want a relatively safe 35 -40 pointer available in my emergencies.

Thanks Wolfy...My usual comfort zone heading into the last 5-6 rounds is to have 1 trade per two rounds which I spend on sideways stuff/injuries as it moves along, leaving at least 1 to cover a round 25 resting

I reckon if you (or I) spend three trades you probably need to have cover for every position no matter how weak.

With two trades left you probably have to play someone like Mbye for a week rather than spend your second last trade 4/5 weeks out...believe me it bites a little bit actually buying him, but I need the CTR cover pale

The risk/reward play is to go for it and hope for the best but you might have to trade to cover a one week injury/suspension/rest.

I went Barnett to Fifita last week and I definitely think it's an upgrade.

In saying all this, the few times I have been in the top 100 heading into the end of the season my regrets over the final couple of rounds have always been about not following through on risky moves and ending up with a solid 50-100 place rather than a great placing, so I think you should probably go for it
