Pretty sure I saw an article saying that Stimson will get the edge spot with McIntyre going to the bench, but who knows.

I've swapped Talau back in for Klese Haas based on that and also I need to play Talau this week so I can carry Walsh on the bench Very Happy

Carrigan went over 60 3 times out of 14 games last year, averaging 60 minutes. Its really a bit of gut feel/hope that have people expecting him to replicate his trial performance regularly rather than stats based.

Haas much more likely to crack 60, and was hampered by injury last year. I think he's the better bet if you can swing it.

I currently have both. Interested by Tino instead of Carrigan. Money and byes have me leaning Carrigan, but I am not as confident in him as others are

We're looking for the Carrigan who was player of the series in Origin, made the Australian team and is in his 2nd year back from an ACL, who averaged 60 in 2020.

That was the guy we saw in the trial.

This is most definitely saying stuff.

I was looking at similar but have gone Ponga instead of Walsh, have a look at his schedule, then look at Talau's single digit scoring history.

I also snuck Walsh back in this morning based on Warbrick's 29 (although I could back both HSS & Talau to beat 29 which is also a sub definition of optimism)

    Talau has scores of:
    Wing 70+ minutes - 0, 1, 7
    Center 70+ minutes - 0, 4, 6

Daniel Atkinson looked more than a handy option at fullback in the trials.
Slotted in well in the trials so there if needed and the coaches still rate Kennedy so it's his spot to lose (With Dykes out who was putting pressure on him)
You might see Trindall take Moylans spot if he is poor or gets injured but its's clutching

Nu Brown played lock twice for the Tigers last year, scores of 29 and 43 with a try, but over 60 minutes both times.
He's not fantasy relevant himself, but if he does play those big minutes it will impact what people might otherwise expect from the bulldogs pack.

Last year Paul Vaughan was paired with Max King as starting props for the 2nd half of the season, and Vaughan averaged 46 minutes (with a bench that generally played low minutes) King averaged 54 minutes as starter

Here's a typical late season bulldogs game for player rotations
    https://www.footystatistics.com/matches.php?m=1112450&year=2022

Different coach, different team so I wouldn't necessarily expect the same thing, but assuming Sutton is definitely going to bust out huge minutes is not a guarantee

I have to play them both this week since I'm carrying both Bird and Walsh, but I think it'll be worth it in the end. Round 1 is the best time to do this kind of thing and I can always swap one of the cheapies for AKP if they get ruled out late.

I don’t want Milch getting mad at me, but I also don’t want members and lurkers looking for sound advice to lack guidance.

I’ll just say that in the Avengers, Dr Strange used the time stone to calculate there was one future reality out of 14.000,000ish where they defeat Thanos.

I think this scenario  is in a similar range

He tends to start seasons pretty well, has had a 90+ in his first 4 games in each of the last 3 seasons. Typically has poor ends to seasons.

I think its a bit remiss to talk up Ponga's 102 in R4 last year without mentioning that the 2 scores prior to that were 6 and 23 (the 6 was in 80 minutes, the 23 was HIA affected)

Not sure that Trindall gets the 14 jersey with Graham in the team able to play 6 if needed. Would indicate a real concern about Hynes not being able to get through a game without reinjury. I don't mind people questioning things, its how we'll get better fantasy teams. I've just spent a couple of posts talking about it too. Better to have robust discussion than just chuck in the popular players because that's what everyone else is doing.

But when people (and some people more than others) get things wrong it gets brought up again and again (and again) so frequently that it must put people off putting down the reasoning for their claims.

For example, if Jacob Preston plays less than 60 minutes this weekend, the over/under on the number of people who will feel the need to post about it would be about 9.5
Rabbits can't post his estimate for a players score or minutes without 3 or 4 replies adding decimal points to it. Sometimes that dead horse just doesn't need to be brought back for another flogging

Matt has let his celebrity status go to his head.

It's 3am and he is running out of cash pretty quick.

There is no question that Hynes is the best fullback in the team by a country mile. Trindall significantly outperforming a very average fullback in Kennedy is hardly a stretch.
